Happy birthday, Stagecoach!

2018 marks 30 years of Stagecoach and we’ve been celebrating with a tea party at Head Office and performances from local students.

On 9th April – our official birthday – we invited local Stagecoach students to perform at our headquarters in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, as a part of the 30th anniversary celebrations.

To mark the milestone of Stagecoach unlocking children’s talents for three decades, we were hosting a tea party where students from local Stagecoach schools entertained guests in a day filled with singing, dancing and acting. On hand and enjoying it all was Stagecoach co-founder Stephanie Manuel, who mingled with children from Stagecoach Chertsey and Stagecoach Weybridge.

In keeping with the ‘tea party’ theme, students from Chertsey thrilled attendees with their own rendition of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland with Taylor Swift, while the children from Weybridge performed two much-loved ABBA classics, Fernando and I Have a Dream.

“It is an incredible achievement for Stagecoach to have been inspiring young singers, dancers and actors since its doors first opened three decades ago,” says Sarah Kelly, CEO of Stagecoach. “Having Stephanie Manuel join us to celebrate this occasion is an honour and it’s fitting for the children to be here to brighten up our headquarters with their performances. This is the first of many events we are planning and executing across the country to commemorate this milestone and a terrific celebration of everything that Stagecoach stands for.”

Cakes!

Not only did we have a wonderful cake made my Choccywoccydoodah's but other Principals around the country threw their own tea parties and had some beautiful cakes too!
