Stagecoach Yate

At Stagecoach Theatre Arts Yate your child can build in confidence from age 4 through to 18 via the performing arts. No auditions are required to join and the teaching in singing, dancing, and acting is delivered by highly trained staff who are registered with child protection.

For 4 - 6 year olds there is Early Stages: 90 minutes of fun packed performing arts based learning. For 6 - 18 year olds there is the Main Stages: Three hours of high energy training in singing dancing and acting to give your child a physical, mental and artistic burst of energy.

Stagecoach Theatre Arts  has been running in Bristol since 1995. If you are looking for somewhere for your child to have a lot of fun while learning important life skills then Stagecoach Yate is the place for you. If your child is already confident then we can help channel that confidence even more effectively.

Panto casting success

We are delighted to announce that Vinnie in Stage 2 has been cast in this year's Panto at the Bristol Hippodrome.Oh yes he has! We are so proud of him.

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Stagecoach Early Stages
Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Stagecoach Main Stages
Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

Meet The Team

Principal - Matt Broad

Matt first trod the boards at the tender age of 6 in Bristol Opera Company's production of Sister Angelica. Since then he has appeared in a wide variety of Musical Theatre shows from Sondheim to Gilbert and Sullivan and Grand Opera. His experience in drama ranges from pantomime to Shakespeare and many points in between. He was also a member of Cabaret group "Anything Goes" and has also been in groups "Loose Covers" and "Clean Cut". He is proud to continue the work started in 1996 by his mum, Di Waterman.
