Stagecoach Wetherby

A very warm welcome to Stagecoach Wetherby from the new Principal Sally Thrussell, in what is a very exciting time as we celebrate Stagecoach’s 30th anniversary.
Sally has been successfully running Stagecoach York for 20 years and is now bringing high quality part-time performing arts classes for 4- 18 year olds to the Wetherby area. At Stagecoach, we nurture and develop potential through singing, acting and dance classes, encouraging creativity and developing confidence, physical awareness, communication and articulation – while being educational and fun.
Our students have opportunities to perform in local, regional and national theatres, take part in professional tours such as Shrek, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar and Evita and act in films or TV shows.
Open on Saturdays every week during term time with workshops during the school holidays, come and join the fun.

CHILDCARE VOUCHERS

We now accept childcare vouchers at Stagecoach! Ask the principal or manager for more information about how you can pay your child's fees with them!

SCHOOL HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES

If you are looking for something exciting to do in the school holidays, why not come along to one of our holiday workshops? Children aged 4 to 16 come for a week of dance, singing and drama, that culminates in a musical performance for family and friends on the Friday. Open to Stagecoach and non-Stagecoach students so bring your friends!

PERFORM WITH US!

We provide our students with opportunities to perform in exciting venues all over the country, including Her Majesty's and Shaftesbury Theatre in the West End. All our children have access to be a part of the events, as an integral part of our ethos. Our events spread even further than the UK, allowing students to also perform at Disneyland Paris!

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)
