Stagecoach Weston-super-Mare

A very warm welcome to Stagecoach Weston-super-Mare from your Principal Patrick McIntyre and the teaching team!

Brand new to Weston in 2021, we’re excited to be launching our classes in singing, acting and dance for students aged 4-18 years old. We run on Saturday mornings at Priory Community School in Worle between 10am-1pm. Early Years students (4-6 years old) take part in 90 minute lessons, learning Performing Arts skills in a fun and engaging way. Our Main Stages classes (6-18 years old) run for 3 hours, with 1 hour each dedicated to developing skills in singing, drama and dance.

Our classes are totally inclusive - you don’t need any Performing Arts experience to join in the fun, just plenty of energy and a desire to express yourself! Our motto is “Creative Courage For Life” - not only will our students get a fantastic grounding in the three disciplines, they’ll also learn vital life skills, building confidence and stretching their imaginations.

Sign up for a two-week trial today. All new students who sign up to our first classes in January will receive a free Stagecoach T-shirt!

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Stagecoach Early Stages
Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Stagecoach Main Stages
Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

Meet The Team

Principal - Patrick McIntyre

Patrick is a professional musician with an Honours Degree in Music Technology and a Masters Degree in Songwriting. As well as performing as a solo artist, Patrick has had a career as a singer, multi-instrumentalist and producer. He’s been in multiple bands and formed a songwriting/production company which went on to have successes in TV/Film and pop music throughout Europe and Asia.

He has been a part of the Stagecoach family since his wife Fae took over as Principal of neighbouring Stagecoach Portishead in 2017.

From Patrick: “It’s impossible to overstate how Music and the Performing Arts have shaped who I am as a person. When I discovered that I could express myself through performing at a young age, it changed my whole world. From being shy and quiet when I was young, I became outgoing and expressive. I gained so much confidence, and the skills I developed have stayed with me for life.”

“As soon as I became involved with Stagecoach, I instantly knew that one day I wanted to become a Principal and open a school of my own. Helping the students grow and develop, find their voices and increase in confidence is one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done. I’m so passionate about giving the students a fantastic Performing Arts education, whether they want to pursue it as a career professionally, or just as a vehicle to express their creativity and energy on a Saturday morning!”

“Weston has such a strong heritage in performance, so I’m really excited to be bringing Stagecoach to this vibrant town. I can’t wait to meet you all and get started.”
