Stagecoach Weston-super-Mare

A very warm welcome to Stagecoach Weston-super-Mare from Principal Patrick and our teaching team.

Stagecoach is the UK's largest network of part time Performing Arts schools for children, offering fun and engaging classes where children can explore their imaginations and be themselves. We are proud to deliver the highest levels of Performing Arts education in a supportive, safe and friendly environment.

No experience is required to join, just plenty of energy and a desire to express yourself! Our motto is “Creative Courage For Life” - not only will our students get a fantastic grounding in the three disciplines of Singing, Dancing and Acting, they’ll also build vital life skills. It's not just learning new techniques - it's making friends, building confidence and stretching imaginations.

It's Show Term!

Our Main Stages students are busy working on a show called "Urban Streets" this term. They'll be performing numbers from Cats, Billy Elliot and the hit Broadway musical Newsies. It's going to be amazing... we can't wait to perform at the end of term!

We've got chills....

....they're multiplying!! Stagecoach Weston-super-Mare is thrilled to announce that our Summer Holiday Workshop for 6-15 year olds will be GREASE this year! Dates: 1st - 5th August. This is an intensive week of musical theatre, with a performance on the final day. This will sell out fast - secure your space now!

Early Stages Summer Club

Inspired by Disney's smash hit film Encanto, Stagecoach WSM presents: THE MAGICAL HOUSE! Meet the residents of an enchanted house as we tell this magical tale. This is a Summer Workshop for Early Stages students (ages 4-6). DATES 1-5th August, daily 9am - 12pm. Spaces are limited.

Playhouse Performance

Stagecoach WSM students were chosen to sing live on stage at the iconic Weston Playhouse in February, backing the Opera Boys on their "A Night at the Musicals" show. What a night it was! Our students were incredible - a polished, professional performance and we're super proud of each and every one of them. Well done team!

Parent Testimonial

We love getting feedback from our families! Here's some lovely words from one of our Main Stages parents.

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Stagecoach Early Stages
Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Stagecoach Main Stages
Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

Meet The Team

Principal - Patrick McIntyre

Patrick is a professional musician with an Honours Degree in Music Technology and a Masters Degree in Songwriting. As well as performing as a solo artist, Patrick has had a career as a singer, multi-instrumentalist and producer. He’s been in multiple bands and formed a songwriting/production company which went on to have successes in TV/Film and pop music throughout Europe and Asia.

He has been a part of the Stagecoach family since his wife Fae took over as Principal of neighbouring Stagecoach Portishead in 2017.

From Patrick: “It’s impossible to overstate how Music and the Performing Arts have shaped who I am as a person. When I discovered that I could express myself through performing at a young age, it changed my whole world. From being shy and quiet when I was young, I became outgoing and expressive. I gained so much confidence, and the skills I developed have stayed with me for life.”

“As soon as I became involved with Stagecoach, I instantly knew that one day I wanted to become a Principal and open a school of my own. Helping the students grow and develop, find their voices and increase in confidence is one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done. I’m so passionate about giving the students a fantastic Performing Arts education, whether they want to pursue it as a career professionally, or just as a vehicle to express their creativity and energy on a Saturday morning!”

“Weston has such a strong heritage in performance, so I’m really excited to be bringing Stagecoach to this vibrant town. I can’t wait to meet you all and get started.”
