About our programmes

Early Stages

Our 90-minute Early Stages classes for 4-6 year olds introduce children to the basics of the Performing Arts in fun and engaging lessons. Children make friends, build confidence and explore their imaginations through performance. We put on small-scale shows and prepare children for the next steps, when they're ready to make the move up to Main Stages.

Main Stages

Children aged 6+ move into our 3-hour Main Stages classes. Mostly focused on Musical Theatre, we go in depth into the disciplines of Singing, Dance and Acting with a view to performing on stage, growing confidence and building life skills.

We give our students plenty of opportunities to perform on stage including yearly shows, West End showcases, performances in regional theatres and other local venues such as the Playhouse Weston.

Curriculum / Safeguarding

Our Educational Framework forms the basis of our teaching and course content. All Teachers and staff are Enhanced DBS checked and on the Government DBS Update Service. Children's Safeguarding and welfare is our no. 1 prority. Your child is in safe hands at Stagecoach. Read more here.

Meet The Team

Principal - Patrick McIntyre

Patrick is a professional musician with an Honours Degree in Music Technology and a Masters in Songwriting. As well as performing regularly as a solo artist/events musician, Patrick has had a career as a singer, multi-instrumentalist and producer. He’s been in multiple bands and formed a songwriting/production company which went on to have successes in TV/Film and pop music throughout Europe, Australia and Asia.

From Patrick: “It’s impossible to overstate how Music and the Performing Arts have shaped who I am as a person. When I discovered that I could express myself through performing at a young age, it changed my whole world. From being shy and quiet when I was young, I became outgoing and expressive. I gained so much confidence, and the skills I developed have stayed with me for life."

"Launching my own school has been a dream since I became involved with Stagecoach back in 2017. It's a place where children can come and completely be themselves for three hours! No mobile phones, no external pressures, just their energy, imagination and endless creativity. I absolutely love running Stagecoach - it's truly the most rewarding thing seeing a child grow in confidence and find their feet through the medium of the Performing Arts."
