Welcome to Stagecoach Welwyn Hatfield, covering the area from Welwyn Garden City through to Hatfield and the surrounding areas. Stagecoach Welwyn-Hatfield are proud to offer a full and rounded education in the performing arts. The life skills that we teach through performance build confidence and stretch imaginations through singing, acting and dance classes. Each term is always packed with friendly fun and frolics taught by professional performers. Come along and join us for a two week trial, we would love to see you there!

LAMDA Examinations

Join Stagecoach Welwyn-Hatfield so that your child can enjoy the opportunity to take LAMDA Examinations with us. What are they? From The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art: A LAMDA Exam is the speech and drama equivalent of a music grade. They help confidence, speech, expression and articulation.


We took part in performing Beauty and the Beast on July 1st 2018 in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record and we did it! The record states: The largest simultaneous performance of one show across multiple locations is 73, and was achieved by Stagecoach Performing Arts in UK, Germany and Canada, at 18:00 WELL DONE!

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Further Stages (for ages 15+ yrs)

Our advanced musical theatre sessions give talented students the chance to extend their performance skills.  Through in-depth training and master classes, we help students to hone their skills in singing, dancing and acting.  We also give students the confidence to audition for theatre and vocational drama schools (if that is their goal) and make sure they are well prepared for interviews and auditions.

Meet The Team

Principal - Kate Eason - BA (Hons)

Kate Festa has come from a theatrical background. She gained a BA (hons) in Performing Arts and Arts Management at De Montfort University before training professionally at Hertfordshire Theatre School. She is proficient in all three disciplines being professionally employed for many years in theatre. She has enjoyed roles such as the ‘Wicked Witch’ in the Wizard of Oz, ‘Kar the Snake’ in The Jungle Book, ‘The Queen of Hearts’ in a Fractured Fairytale and many more, all touring in national theatres. She has now stepped out of the limelight and turned her hand to producing and directing which she thoroughly enjoys. She is thrilled to be able to bring a wealth of experience and energy to Stagecoach Performing Arts Welwyn-Hatfield.
