A very warm welcome to Stagecoach Trowbridge, Frome and Westbury where we provide quality part-time training in the performing arts for students aged 4-19yrs. 

Our aim is to nurture and develop young potential through singing, acting and dance classes, stretching young imaginations and building confidence. Our award-winning schools create an inspirational environment where students can have fun, make friends and achieve their best.

We perform at Disneyland Paris every two years which is a very special highlight in our calendar - an experience providing memories that last a lifetime. We have performed in some of the UK's most iconic venues such as The Theatre Royal Bath, The Grand Theatre Swansea, The National Indoor Arena Birmingham, The New Wimbledon Theatre London, His Majesty's London, The Shaftesbury Theatre London and The Princess Theatre Torquay. Our students have many wonderful opportunities.

Discovery Session

A wonderful way for 4-6 year olds to experience our performing arts classes - and for free. Saturday 14th September | 1.15 - 2.15pm at The Clarendon Academy | Places limited | Book your space now. West End Live

Each year our students perform on stage in London's West End and other iconic regional theatres. Students get the incredible opportunity to showcase their skills where stars perform every week. Our 2024 performances are being held at The Theatre Royal Bath and His Majesty's in London. We will also perform at The Princess Theatre, Torquay in 2025.

Disneyland Paris

Stagecoach Trowbridge and Frome students have performed at Disneyland Paris five times now. Our students get to dance in the pre-parade, perform on one of the main Disney stages & sing to open the park outside of the Disney castle. Plus they have an amazing family holiday too, magical forever memories. Our next trip is July 2025.

Classes for Adults

Fun, friendly and rewarding sessions in the performing arts for adults. Classes are beginner friendly and are open to anyone with enthusiasm. Our adults recently performed onstage at The Theatre Royal in Bath with a wonderful homage to Men in Black. Next up, they perform at The New Wimbledon Theatre in London. New students welcome anytime.

Mini Stages (for ages 2-4 yrs)

Mini Stages
Stagecoach Mini Stages (for 2 -4 year olds) 45 Minute Classes are a fun and exciting way for you and your child to actively experience the performing arts in a comfortable, relaxed and safe environment.

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Stagecoach Early Stages
Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Stagecoach Main Stages
Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Further Stages (for ages 15+ yrs)

Stagecoach Further Stages
Our advanced musical theatre sessions give talented students the chance to extend their performance skills.  Through in-depth training and master classes, we help students to hone their skills in singing, dancing and acting.  We also give students the confidence to audition for theatre and vocational drama schools (if that is their goal) and make sure they are well prepared for interviews and auditions.

Adult Stages (for ages 18+ yrs)

Adult Classes

Develop your skills in the three core performing arts disciplines of singing, dancing and acting with our Adult Classes. Whether you have previous experience in the performing arts or you’re a complete beginner, you’ll be able to learn something new and explore musical theatre skills in a friendly, fun and safe environment.

Meet The Team

Principal - Freddie Underwood

Freddie opened Stagecoach Trowbridge, Frome & Westbury in 2009. 

Freddie won ‘Newcomer of the Year’ in 2010 from the Stagecoach network and 'Marketing Award of the Year' in 2016. Her ambitious personality has ensured the school has performed in some of the most exciting theatres, including The Shaftesbury Theatre in London numerous times, as well as His Majesty's in London, The National Indoor Arena Birmingham, The Grand Theatre in Swansea and five weekend long performances in Disneyland Paris. Her schools have been awarded ‘Outstanding’ or 'Exceeding' multiple times. Freddie is the Head of LAMDA at St Mary's Calne and runs The Drama Centre, a specialist LAMDA company with Lou Cox. She has a Drama and Theatre Studies BA HONS degree from Royal Holloway University of London, an acting diploma from Drama Studio London, a QCF diploma in Performance Arts Teaching with Distinction and a Teaching Qualification in Mindfulness from Mindfulness Now. She also works as a UK wide LAMDA examiner and is a published author. Her monologue book for young females aged 7-17 years can be purchased on Amazon and Waterstones.

Before teaching, Freddie was a professional actress, working in London. Highlights include running her own theatre company – which performed at Piccadilly Circus theatre Jermyn Street with a play co-written by Freddie & starring Freddie as Jane Seymour titled Divorced, Beheaded, Died, commercials for Bacardi, resident Corporate performer for De Beers Diamonds, Radio Four voice-over work for Sir David Frost and a UK tour of "Aladdin" as Princess Jasmine.
