Drama, Dance and Singing Classes in Tonbridge

Welcome to Stagecoach Tonbridge

Performing Arts School for 4-18 years.
A Stagecoach teacher for more than ten years, Wendy was first attracted to Stagecoach by the great emphasis it puts on building children's confidence and boosting their self-esteem. Wendy comes to Stagecoach with an extensive background in performing. Trained as a singer, dancer and actress, she has appeared in many TV programmes including a 1990s series of Dr Who, Darling Buds of May and a number of children's shows. Having set up her own Stagecoach school in Tonbridge in 2008 Wendy says, "it is wonderful to see our students grow in confidence and skill with so much energy and enthusiasm". Stagecoach Tonbridge performs at national events such as the highly prestigious Her Majesty’s Theatre.

Student Success

We would like to wish a huge congratulations to student Sebby who has won a place at Tring Park School. His performance of ‘Empty Chairs at Empty Tables’ from Les Misérables impressed the admissions board, as well as his performance as Puck from A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Wendy, Principal of Stagecoach Tonbridge, said: “Sebby is an outstanding student and has come on leaps and bounds at Stagecoach Tonbridge over the last seven years. Not only is he very talented with a real passion for drama, but he is also hard working and very popular with the other students and teachers.”

Sebby’s mother, Sally-Anne, said: “We are really proud of Sebby who has done fantastically well. He has loved performing in all aspects of drama since he joined Stagecoach when he was just six years old."

Stagecoach Acting, Singing and Dance Classes & Times

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Further Stages (for ages 15+ yrs)

Our advanced musical theatre sessions give talented students the chance to extend their performance skills.  Through in-depth training and master classes, we help students to hone their skills in singing, dancing and acting.  We also give students the confidence to audition for theatre and vocational drama schools (if that is their goal) and make sure they are well prepared for interviews and auditions.

Fees in accordance with Main Stages.
