Stagecoach Thame Success!

Some of our older students went to the Milton Keynes Festival of the Arts for Dance, Music and Drama on Sunday 19th February. Our solo students Megan and Hester got a first, two seconds and a third while the Advance Drama Troupe were awarded the festival trophy for Dramatic Scene from a Published Play! Well done all - we are very proud!

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

We understand that with the increasing demands on parents, juggling the pressures of work and family life, time is at an essence. Whether they want to be fairies, pirates or detectives, there is a Stagecoach Party for everyone!

Meet The Team

Principal - Nicky Goodwin

Nicky has a strong and varied background in performing arts and education. She has worked as a Licenced Chaperone in many touring professional productions, including The Sound of Music, South Pacific, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Annie Get Your Gun, Scrooged and many more TV, film and sound recording jobs. Nicky has also worked closely with casting directors in running auditions for theatre and filming castings.
After working with Stagecoach Oxford for many years behind the scenes in auditioning and organisational roles, Nicky took the plunge and became Principal of Stagecoach Thame in April 2012. Initially a small school of 28 students, Stagecoach Thame has flourished under Nicky’s leadership and now welcomes over 200 students into its classes each week. Nicky is certain that this success is because she and her team of teachers want each and every student to have the best experience possible, to have a range of learning and performing opportunities throughout the year and to explore their creativity in an exciting but safe place. Nicky regularly sees how performing arts can transform young lives and feels privileged to be able to offer these opportunities at Stagecoach Thame.
