Stagecoach Taunton

Welcome to Stagecoach Taunton where we provide an exciting platform for students from 4-18 years to explore the performing arts.

All three disciplines are taught at Stagecoach, singing, dance and drama in a safe, caring and inspiring environment, all under one roof. We are here to encourage and develop each child individually whether as a fantastic hobby or a stepping stone to a career within the performing arts; we are here to provide a ‘Creative Courage for Life’. No previous experience is necessary, just a bundle of enthusiasm!

We are open Saturday mornings through term time and are now enrolling for the Autumn Term. Two-Week trial sessions are available for all new students.

EXCITING NEWS ON ITS WAY

Keep watching this space for some fantastic news!

WEST END WORKSHOPS

We have been inspired and injected with the amazing London energy when Alex brought his West End Workshops to Taunton. Such a brilliant energy was all around the school as the students had a fantastic time learning dialogue and choreography from a West End professional. The question and answer time at the end was inspirational for all.

CAROLS BY CANDLELIGHT

We are really looking forward to being involved in this Christmas carol service. Stagecoach students will be opening the service with a beautiful carol accompanied by the harp and also reading a lesson. Another great performance opportunity for the students to enjoy.

GIFT VOUCHERS

Why not give a Stagecoach Performing Arts gift voucher for Christmas to a friend or family member for an introductory two week trail? It just could change a life in such a positive way! Pick your voucher up at Stagecoach Taunton.

NEW PERFORMANCE TROUPE

Rehearsals are almost there as we get ready to take our older students to perform at our local shopping mall . We have many Christmas songs and dances to entertain and bring a little cheer to Taunton's Christmas shoppers. Please stop and say hello if you are passing and cheer us on!

EARLY STAGES WORKSHOPS

What a lively and inspiring Festive Workshop our Early Stages had this term. Jack Frost games, scenes acted in costumes, mask making.... fun was had by all! Working hand in hand along with our Skills Term. We are really looking forward to our display and 'Parents Do Stagecoach' to round off a busy and creative term

LAMDA EXAMS

We prepare students for LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts) exams in various categories... developing essential performing and also life skills.

EARLY STAGES

Early Stages is just the beginning of a young students experience at Stagecoach where we encourage confidence and self belief as we learn through fun and laughter in a safe and secure environment. Looking forward to seeing lots of new smiling faces next term as we come back from our holidays with exciting stories to tell the class.

MAIN STAGES

We are looking forward to a fantastic term ahead with 'Parents Do Stagecoach' , 'Bring a Friend to Stagecoach' along with an exciting workshop from the West End! The Autumn Term classes are filling up very quickly with only limited places left now in Stages 1,2 and 3.

FURTHER STAGES

Take your performing arts skills to a higher level in our Further Stages classes. Our advanced theatre sessions offer students the chance to extend their performance skill. We give you the confidence to audition for theatre and vocational drama schools (if that's your goal) and ensure you are well prepared for interviews and auditions.

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Further Stages (for ages 15+ yrs)

Our advanced musical theatre sessions give talented students the chance to extend their performance skills.  Through in-depth training and master classes, we help students to hone their skills in singing, dancing and acting.  We also give students the confidence to audition for theatre and vocational drama schools (if that is their goal) and make sure they are well prepared for interviews and auditions.

Fees in accordance with Main Stages.
