Stagecoach Taunton

Welcome to Stagecoach Taunton where we provide an exciting platform for students from 4-18 years to explore the performing arts.

All three disciplines are taught at Stagecoach, singing, dance and drama in a safe, caring and inspiring environment, all under one roof. We are here to encourage and develop each child individually whether as a fantastic hobby or a stepping stone to a career within the performing arts; we are here to provide a ‘Creative Courage for Life’. No previous experience is necessary, just a bundle of enthusiasm!

We are open Saturday mornings through term time and are now enrolling for the Autumn Term. Two-Week trial sessions are available for all new students.

EARLY STAGES

We have been very busy this term bringing together an amazing display to show friends and families at the end of term. A festive treat for everyone, showcasing so many new skills learnt over the past few weeks. We have been using props while we dance and using sign language while we sing along with learning lines for our play having a lot of fun!

MAIN STAGES

'I can be myself', 'I feel confident', 'It's amazing', 'I've made so many friends' are just a few of the fabulous comments we hear around the school on Saturday mornings! And this term is no exception with students having a great time with a new and exciting Christmas Pantomime with many new skills being learnt along the way.

PERFORMANCE TROUPE

Our Performance Troupe once again did us proud at the new Somerset County Show in September. Even though adverse weather conditions 'the show must go on!' and it really did! All the students were so professional and sung and danced brilliantly. A great experience. Well done everyone!

Performance Opportunities

Congratulations to one of Stagecoach Taunton's talented performers for landing a role in this fabulous professional and local production. We are all supporting you and are looking forward to seeing the show. Congratulations!

LAMDA EXAMS

We prepare students for LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts) exams in various categories... developing essential performing and also life skills. BREAKING NEWS, due to popular demand in the Autumn Term we will be offering more LAMDA preparation classes! Book up soon!

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Further Stages (for ages 15+ yrs)

Our advanced musical theatre sessions give talented students the chance to extend their performance skills.  Through in-depth training and master classes, we help students to hone their skills in singing, dancing and acting.  We also give students the confidence to audition for theatre and vocational drama schools (if that is their goal) and make sure they are well prepared for interviews and auditions.

Fees in accordance with Main Stages.
