Stagecoach Taunton

Welcome to Stagecoach Taunton where we provide an exciting platform for students from 4-18 years to explore the performing arts.

All three disciplines are taught at Stagecoach, singing, dance and drama in a safe, caring and inspiring environment, all under one roof. We are here to encourage and develop each child individually whether as a fantastic hobby or a stepping stone to a career within the performing arts; we are here to provide a ‘Creative Courage for Life’. No previous experience is necessary, just a bundle of enthusiasm!

We are open Saturday mornings through term time and are now enrolling for the Autumn Term. Two-Week trial sessions are available for all new students.

Meet The Team

We are really excited to announce two west end workshops for our Main Stage students this term. A west end professional who has been working in many current west end shows will be inspiring and challenging all our students with his amazing enthusiasm and energy. We can't wait!

We prepare students for LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts) exams in various categories... developing essential performing and also life skills.

We are so excited to be introducing Early Stages Passports in the Autumn Term. Attendance and attainment throughout each term will be personally recognised for each student, every week, with their very own passport of achievements to take home and share with their family and friends.

Early Stages is just the beginning of a young students experience at Stagecoach where we encourage confidence and self belief as we learn through fun and laughter in a safe and secure environment. Looking forward to seeing lots of new smiling faces next term as we come back from our holidays with exciting stories to tell the class.

We are looking forward to a fantastic term ahead with 'Parents Do Stagecoach' , 'Bring a Friend to Stagecoach' along with an exciting workshop from the West End! The Autumn Term classes are filling up very quickly with only limited places left now in Stages 1,2 and 3.

Take your performing arts skills to a higher level in our Further Stages classes. Our advanced theatre sessions offer students the chance to extend their performance skill. We give you the confidence to audition for theatre and vocational drama schools (if that's your goal) and ensure you are well prepared for interviews and auditions.

Looking forward to some amazing outside performance opportunities this festive season.

From our performances of Beauty and the Beast Junior we are really pleased to say we raised £634.90 for Children's Hospice South West. Thank you everyone who so kindly donated.

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Further Stages (for ages 15+ yrs)

Our advanced musical theatre sessions give talented students the chance to extend their performance skills.  Through in-depth training and master classes, we help students to hone their skills in singing, dancing and acting.  We also give students the confidence to audition for theatre and vocational drama schools (if that is their goal) and make sure they are well prepared for interviews and auditions.

Fees in accordance with Main Stages.
