Stagecoach Swindon goes to Disneyland Paris
After an action-packed trip to Disneyland Paris in 2015 we have booked to go again in 2017! Last year 32 students from Stagecoach Swindon enjoyed the four day trip performing at Disneyland Paris. The children represented their school on stage at ‘Cinemagique’ and then took to the streets in the pre-parade to an audience of thousands. They also opened the Park with an anthem of ‘Frozen’ songs in front of the iconic castle. It was an amazing experience and we can’t wait to go again!

Students perform in ‘Carmen’ at The Wyvern Theatre
Stage Coach Swindon are very proud of our choir of students who performed at The Wyvern Theatre on Tuesday 4th October in The Russian State Opera ‘Carmen’. The children sang their parts in french and enjoyed a warm round of applause from the audience.
From Billy Elliott to full-time stage school
Stage Coach Swindon student Tomi Fry recently left the cast of ‘Billy Elliott’, the hit West End show and returned to classes at Stagecoach Swindon to prepare him for full-time stage school auditions. Tomi successfully gained a drama scholarship to attend Tring Park School of Performing Arts and we wish him the best of luck. He performed the role of Michael for 18 months living in the ‘Billy House’ in London. We were also very proud to watch him on our TV screens too. If you missed his appearance on ITV's Mel and Sue follow this link.

Student Success
HUGE congratulations to our students for another fantastic set of LAMDA examinations results! We are so proud that most students gained Distinctions with a few well-earned Merits for their Acting, Musical Theatre and Verse and Prose exams.

Stagecoach Acting, Singing and Dance Classes & Times

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Further Stages (for ages 15+ yrs)

Our advanced musical theatre sessions give talented students the chance to extend their performance skills.  Through in-depth training and master classes, we help students to hone their skills in singing, dancing and acting.  We also give students the confidence to audition for theatre and vocational drama schools (if that is their goal) and make sure they are well prepared for interviews and auditions.

Fees in accordance with Main Stages.
Please use the online payment for existing students or, a new student whose place has been confirmed by the local principal.

Principal Sheryll has worked with Stagecoach for nearly nineteen years now, moving to Swindon to launch this performing arts school sixteen years ago.

With her wealth of experience in teaching and organising, she leads a dynamic team of teachers. Boasting a student currently performing in the West End as ‘Michael’ in ‘Billy Elliot’, Stagecoach Swindon manages to keep our children grounded and to welcome those new to classes in dance, drama and singing.

Our inspirational team of teachers work on a performance project each term, balancing creativity with technique in the three disciplines: dance, drama and singing. The dance classes are jazz based, but also cover contemporary, classical, street and choreographic work.

Our Drama classes explore scripts, improvisation, devising and include workshops from stage combat skills to Shakespeare.

Our singing classes include songs from many genres with a focus on musical theatre, film and pop songs. Our singers also learn song writing and selection skills. Our quality training allows every child to develop their skills and have lots of fun in the process. We also offer lessons leading to a LAMDA acting, musical theatre or verse and prose exam, where we continue to gain fabulous results.

Stagecoach Swindon performing arts school students have the chance to shine on stage in our end of year production - most recently, they dazzled audiences with their performance of ‘Alice in a Winter Wonderland’ and in 2013 they performed in the famous musical ‘Cats’. This year, we have been invited to provide a choir for the professional touring production of ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’ at the Wyvern Theatre.

More than 30 of our students will be performing in Disneyland Paris this summer and our talented ‘Troupe’ will be singing at Her Majesty’s Theatre in the West End next year. We also run regular trips to the theatre - last year students and their families watched ‘Matilda the Musical’ and ‘Billy Elliot’.

Stagecoach Swindon classes are located at the following location:
