Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

Further Stages (for ages 15+ yrs)

Our advanced musical theatre sessions give talented students the chance to extend their performance skills.  Through in-depth training and master classes, we help students to hone their skills in singing, dancing and acting.  We also give students the confidence to audition for theatre and vocational drama schools (if that is their goal) and make sure they are well prepared for interviews and auditions.

Fees in accordance with Main Stages.

Meet The Team

Principal - Jennifer Jones - Dip Musical Theatre AISTD

After training in all aspects of theatre, at seventeen Jennifer was accepted into the prestigious theatre school, Laine Theatre Arts, where she continued to study dance, drama, technical singing and musical theatre full-time. Whilst training she gained Honours in all her LAMDA drama exams and played leads in the college productions such as 'Lucy' in Sweeney Todd and 'Sheila' in Hair.

After leaving college, within only a short time, Jennifer was employed as lead female for Carnival Cruise Lines and spent twelve months in Miami and sailing around the Caribbean, leading the onboard musical shows and living the high life! She then went on to work for Thomson Gold Holidays, as lead female in the production shows and was based in sunny Majorca for six months touring all of their local hotels. Jennifer spent the last 2 years of her performing career as resident lead female for P&O Cruises, onboard the luxury flag ship cruise liner MV Oriana. She led all ten musical production shows where she played the parts of Rizzo in 'Grease', Eliza Dolittle in 'My Fair Lady' and performed sets with Bonnie Langford and Sheila Ferguson from the 3 Degrees.

After seeing the world, Jennifer decided it was time to settle down and fulfil her desire to work with children. Jennifer started her teaching career teaching 4-19 year olds drama, dance, technical singing and musical theatre full-time, her main schools being Stagecoach Theatre Arts Sutton. She also taught GCSE and A-level singing in many High schools for Surrey County Arts. Jennifer taught for all six Stagecoach Sutton schools starting with dance and then moving to vocal coach and now has fulfilled her ambition by becoming Principal. Jennifer also teaches private vocal coaching to students during the week and coordinates auditions for the students in the West End and is pleased to say so many of Sutton's students have been successful at West End auditions with her help and guidance.
Jennifer feels that her training and professional career has given her wonderful experience and techniques which she finds a great pleasure to pass onto the next generation.

As Principal, along with a great team of teachers, she provides a professional, fun and exciting school.

She has owned the schools in Sutton since September 2003 and since then has achieved phenomenal results with the children. She has an extremely strong team of teachers who have all worked professionally like Jennifer.

The children have enjoyed outside successes such as 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang', 'Annie', 'The Sound of Music', 'Oliver', 'Les Mis', 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof' and most recently 'The Wizard of Oz' as well as many commercials and films. Above all, the schools provide a fantastic training that you would only receive at a top theatre school as well as a warm, friendly and encouraging environment.
