Stagecoach Stratford-upon-Avon

Stagecoach Theatre Arts Stratford-upon-Avon offers Singing, Dance and Drama Classes for children 6-18 years. Pat Stovell has been Principal of Stagecoach Stratford-upon-Avon for 19 years, and every Saturday morning we run classes for children in Singing, Dance and Drama, at the Stratford School, Alcester Road, Stratford-upon-Avon, CV37 9DH, from 10.00 am to 13.00 pm. Classes are small, students being grouped within peer age groups. Highly qualified teachers with backgrounds in every aspect of theatre and performance arts ensure that children have the opportunity to develop their imagination and skills – whilst having fun!

Students from Stratford have been involved in many productions, including appearances at the NIA
Birmingham, the Royal Albert Hall, Her Majesty’s Theatre, London, the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon and many, many more! There are also opportunities to take examinations in musical theatre, and Stagecoach has its own Agency which provides the chance for its students to audition for professional Stage, Television, Radio and Film work.  Many ex-students have gone on to top Drama Schools and Universities, as well as finding employment in the entertainment  industry.

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Stagecoach Early Stages
Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Stagecoach Main Stages
Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. Meet The Team

Principal - Pat Stovell - Cert.Ed

Pat gave up her teaching career to concentrate full-time on her Stagecoach schools. She has performed in each of the disciplines taught at the schools and is an avid theatre-goer. For twelve years she ran the Priory Young Stagers at the Kenilworth theatre, directing shows as diverse as The Boy Friend and Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. One of her greatest pleasures at Stagecoach is to see shy, quiet children suddenly blossom into confident, communicative and happy students.
