Stagecoach Stratford-upon-Avon

Welcome to Stagecoach Stratford upon Avon, which has been providing quality Performing Arts classes to children aged 4-18 for over 30 years.

During the summer of 2025, Stagecoach Stratford upon Avon changed hands and is now under the new leadership of Jackie Rees, who is already the Principal of Stagecoach Balsall Common & Kenilworth, Leamington Spa and Warwick.  Jackie and her team cannot wait to restart our weekly classes in January 2026 and meet all the new students!  As well as our regular Saturday sessions, there will be opportunities for our students to perform at Warwick Castle and Shaftesbury Theatre on the West End in the near future.

Our weekly classes on Saturdays are taught by a wonderful team of dedicated, qualified and professional teachers who are passionate about how the arts can used to develop children into brave, adaptable and aspiring young adults.  As well as completing a full and rounded education, our classes build confidence and stretch imaginations to instil life skills that will be invaluable in adulthood through singing, acting and dance classes.

Students from Stagecoach Stratford upon Avon have been involved in many professional productions, including appearances at the RSC Stratford upon Avon, the Birmingham NIA, the Royal Albert Hall, Her Majesty’s Theatre London and many more, while ex-students have gone on to attend top Drama Schools and Universities across the UK, as well as finding employment in the entertainment industry at the RSC and the West End.

EARLY STAGES SCHOOL

We opened an EARLY STAGES SCHOOL a few years ago for CHILDREN aged 4 to 6 years. This runs alongside our established Main School, on Saturday mornings, from 9.45 to 11.15 am. Designed as an introduction to the tuition followed in Main School, the students explore their own Creativity in Singing, Dance and Drama - but also particularly having FUN!

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Stagecoach Early Stages

Our 90-minute Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, giving young performers the chance to learn key skills in each of the three musical theatre disciplines of singing, dancing, and acting each week. These fun and engaging sessions build skills and confidence, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Stagecoach Main Stages
Our 3-hour weekly Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing, and acting. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

Meet The Team

Principal - Jackie Rees - MMus Vocal Performance (Trinity Laban Conservatoire), BMus Music (Bath Spa University) & ADPA

Previously a singing teacher for 10 years before becoming a Stagecoach Principal, Jackie is delighted to be taking on a new challenge as Principal of Stagecoach Stratford-upon-Avon.

Jackie caught the theatre bug at a young age and singing and performing quickly became both her hobby and her ambition. As a teenager she performed locally with Knowle Musical Society and Solihull Theatre Company.  During her studies in Bath and London she focussed as a Soprano vocalist, and performed at Wells Cathedral, Bath Abbey and premiered in ‘A Secret Garden’ - an opera by Stephen McNeff .  It was when she started coaching choirs and A Level students in Bath that she discovered a passion for teaching and passing on her love for the arts, and after graduating one of her first teaching roles was at Stagecoach Solihull.

During her time working for Stagecoach, she has taught all ages from Mini to Further stages, as well as coaching choirs and performance troupes and preparing students for professional events, community events, shows, holiday workshops, exams, concerts and more. Jackie also teaches singing in primary and secondary schools around Solihull, which compliments her Stagecoach teaching and has helped her to develop ways in which to engage and inspire children in the classroom. She believes that Stagecoach brings out the best in children and even the most nervous child can blossom in the supportive and imaginative environment each Stagecoach school can create.

Away from the Stratford-upon-Avon school, Jackie is also Principal for Stagecoach schools in Leamington Spa, Balsall Common, Warwick and Kenilworth.
