Stagecoach Stanmore & Harrow Weald

Founded in Stanmore in 1995, we’re still going strong in delivering our aim to nurture and develop young potential through singing, acting and dance classes for children.

Stagecoach may be a big International brand, but each school is independently run by it's Principal with community at it's heart. Our students come to Stagecoach with a variety of aims and we as a team of industry professionals, love the challenge in meeting those needs and aims with our structured classes with fun content! We encourage good lines in communication between home, other activites, school and us in creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment for your child to shine!

Our classes are held on Fridays and Saturdays during term time and we work toward a common goal or project every term.

We offer Performing Arts Exams

Mini Stages - Autumn 2021

Will be moving to Whitchurch Primary School! Not every Stagecoach runs a Mini Stages so if you're confused as to why you're far away but been directed to us, it's because technically, we are your nearest!

LAMDA qualifications

We also offer optional preparation for LAMDA exams in Speech of Verse & Prose, Acting and Musical Theatre. Our expert coaches get the student exam ready, not only in their presentation of chosen pieces but also in the knowledge behind the subjects and in talking to the examiner in depth about what they learnt. Invaluable skills for life!

Limited Availability?

You may be wondering why some classes are marked as limited availability? Well, we cap all of our classes at 18 students. However, places may become available after a termly break, families change in circumstances or after the first 2 weeks of term so don't despair and keep in touch via stanmore@stagecoach.co.uk.

Weekly Classes

Mini Stages (for ages 2-4 yrs)

Mini Stages
Stagecoach Mini Stages (for 2 -4 year olds) 45 Minute Classes are a fun and exciting way for you and your child to actively experience the performing arts in a comfortable, relaxed and safe environment.

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Stagecoach Early Stages
Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Stagecoach Main Stages
Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Further Stages (for ages 15+ yrs)

Stagecoach Further Stages
Our advanced musical theatre sessions give talented students the chance to extend their performance skills.  Through in-depth training and master classes, we help students to hone their skills in singing, dancing and acting.  We also give students the confidence to audition for theatre and vocational drama schools (if that is their goal) and make sure they are well prepared for interviews and auditions.

Fees in accordance with Main Stages.

Meet The Team

Principal - Jayne Hardy - BA (Hons)

Jayne took over as principal of the school in 2010. She trained in Devised Acting at Bretton Hall College near Leeds, which doesn’t exist anymore so sadly she can’t encourage students to follow in her footsteps to a career in nurturing children’s potential! Since graduating in 2000, she worked for Stagecoach in Leatherhead, Redhill, Islington and Stoke Newington as a singing and drama teacher, at the same time as being an actress (’16 Gobs’ Kings Head Theatre), producer (‘Dirty Little Secrets’ Landor Theatre), company manager (Whoopee Productions), agent (2020 Casting & The Whoopee Agency) and a nanny! Her favourite job was as company manager for a ‘Showzam’ at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom – an amazing place. All these former lives have been an excellent training in becoming a Stagecoach principal. Other notable experience in teaching was with Polka Theatre for Children and Shakespeare 4 Kidz delivering workshops from ages 3-18 all over the country. More recently, in addition to Stagecoach, Jayne runs a troupe of balloon modelling performers, does accounts for a jazz band, teaches singing and conducts a Glee Club, directs shows when asked very nicely…oh and is a Mum to Alfie.
