Stagecoach St Albans

Mandy is Principal of Stagecoach St Albans, a role that she was delighted to take on in 2012. Mandy has always had a passion for the performing arts throughout her life, undertaking roles at school. Stagecoach St Albans has been running for 13 years and the students have enjoyed putting on various plays and shows during that time. A selection of these are: ‘Bugsy Malone’, ‘Honk’, ‘Hansel & Gretel’, ‘Haunted’, ‘Eddie the Penguin Saves the World’ and ‘Oklahoma’. A presentation is performed annually so that the parents get to see their children perform in a production.

Noticeboard

Top marks from Inspectors

We had a recent inspection in our afternoon Main School and Early Stages and are delighted with the feedback we received: "High quality teaching generates a similar standard of response across all three disciplines. The school is very well led by a Principal who is very well organised. There is a strong commitment to the school among students."

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Principal - Mandy Perry

Mandy comes to Stagecoach after a career of 14 years with Monarch Airlines as Cabin Crew, but has always been involved in Repertory Theatre and can't wait to get back in to her passion, which is the performing arts. She has acting experience, having taken roles in plays and shows over the years at The Dunstable Repertory Theatre. Mandy has recently completed her Associate Diploma in Performing Arts (ADPA) to enable her to pass on her knowledge to the students at Stagecoach St. Albans. She is passionate about teaching young people the invaluable benefits which are gained from performing arts skills.
