Stagecoach Southgate

I have been running the Southgate branch since January 2006. Throughout this time, I have had the pleasure of watching hundreds of local children blossom into confident performers. I trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama before going into a career in television presenting and voice over work. I am passionate about developing performance skills in young people and believe that the structure and discipline of putting together shows develop valuable life skills. Your child may be passionate about singing, drama or dance or perhaps they are an absolute beginner and want to explore the arts further. My aim is to create a warm, enthusiastic and safe environment where everyone feels that they can just have a go. We celebrate all achievements and personal triumphs.

New Era Awards

This term in class time, we shall be working towards 'New Era' Exams. These exams are specifically tailored to group work and all the preparation is done within lesson time. The emphasis is very much on ensemble work and each stage is assessed and awarded as a group. OFQUAL recognise these awards and higher grades are worth UCAS points.

Christmas Workshop

21st December 2017 Join us for our very special 'Play in a Day' Christmas workshop at Ashmole Academy. Two sessions will be available, a group for 4-6 year olds and another for 7-18 year olds. 10am- 4pm ( wrap around care available) The day will be a Christmas special - ending with a showing of work at the end of the day.

2018 a Special Year

2018 Marks a special year for Stagecoach as it's our 30th Anniversary! We have lots of exciting plans in the offing including A special 30th Show involving all of our main schools AND an outdoor party!

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Further Stages (for ages 15+ yrs)

Our advanced musical theatre sessions give talented students the chance to extend their performance skills.  Through in-depth training and master classes, we help students to hone their skills in singing, dancing and acting.  We also give students the confidence to audition for theatre and vocational drama schools (if that is their goal) and make sure they are well prepared for interviews and auditions.

Fees in accordance with Main Stages.

Holiday Workshops

Themed Children's Parties

Birthdays & Celebrations

We understand that with the increasing demands on parents, juggling the pressures of work and family life, time is at an essence. Therefore Stagecoach Parties provide a way to remove the stress from what should be a day of celebration for everyone and allow you to sit back, relax and let us do all the work! Whether they want to be fairies, pirates or detectives, there is a Stagecoach Party for everyone!
