Meet The Team

Principal - Lisa van der Horst - ADPA

I have been a professional performer for the best part of 20 years.
I started singing and dancing at a very young age, then went on to train at Highbury College of Acting and Performance and classes at the Actors Centre, London.
From there I went straight into the world of musical theatre playing many leading roles in West End tours, revue shows around the world, cruise ships and many pantomimes in the UK.

Theatre credits include: Miss Belle (Fame), Mrs Potiphar (Joseph), Vicky Nicholls (The Full Monty), Cora (Calendar Girls), Lady Macbeth (Macbeth), Helena and Titania (A Midsummer Nights Dream), Lady Capulet (Romeo and Juliet).
TV credits include: Sandra Smith (Sirens ITV), Presenter (Portsmouth TV), I Capture the Castle (film), Mad about the Boy (Film), Trevor's World of Sport (Comedy BBC), Families (ITV ).

In the past 8 years I have worked as a teacher at various stage schools in the region. It has been very satisfying to pass on my experience in this way.
This has also provided me with the opportunity to devise and direct several shows with youth groups.
These include: Our Town (Thornton Wilder), Joseph (Andrew Lloyd Webber), Best of Broadway Musicals and A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Having taught at both Stagecoach Shrewsbury and Oswestry the opportunity arose to take the leading role as Principal at Shrewsbury!

At Stagecoach Shrewsbury our professional team will help the children learn stagecraft and help them grow in confidence.

I very much look forward to take our pupils on their own personal journey, in a safe, secure and loving environment - gaining skills for life!
