Stagecoach Sheffield

At Stagecoach Sheffield we try to give our students as many opportunities as possible. Students have appeared in the many theatres local to our area and also formed the choir for the professional touring production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat at The Buxton Opera House and The Lyceum Theatre, on numerous occasions. Stagecoach, through its agent, also gives students opportunities to appear in film and television. On a regular basis the students present shows and demonstrations at school for their family and friends. Stagecoach Sheffield are proud to offer a full and rounded education, teaching life skills to build confidence and stretch imaginations through singing, acting and dance classes.

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Principal - Sheila Chapman

Sheila Chapman has been involved in theatre for most of her working life, having originally trained as a Theatrical Make-up Artist. She opened Stagecoach Sheffield in 1996 and during that time the schools have gone from strength to strength. They are regularly inspected by independent school inspectors and consistently receive reports of the highest standard. Sheila believes in giving students as many performance opportunities as possible, but her main aim is to provide a good, solid training and to watch students develop in confidence and life skills.

Sheila is delighted to have been awarded the 'Stagecoach Franchisee of the Year 2009'
