At Stagecoach Ringwood we pride ourselves in providing a creative, fun and welcoming environment, where your children can not only learn valuable skills in Dance, Drama and Singing and build life skills such as creativity and self-esteem, whilst making friends for life along the way. Stagecoach Ringwood believe in developing each and every students' confidence and ability in the Performing Arts, providing high quality training and tuition that is exciting, fun and current. Each child has equal opportunity to perform in every show, having their time in the spotlight. Alongside this, we offer free yearly workshops with West End practitioners, Commercial dancers and Circus troupes to name a few,  we provide annual written reports, Ofsted inspections, LAMDA examinations in Acting, theatre trips, and Performing Arts Awards.

Parents Do Stagecoach

At Stagecoach Ringwood we like to raise money for 'Instep' The Children's Performing Arts Charity! At our last event, Parents stepped into their children's shoes; Early Stages parents helped student's sing a song from the Lion King whilst Main School's parents blew our socks off with their rendition of High School Musical, it was fabulous!

Matilda success!

Matilda was a success at our Summer workshop! All students learnt 6 songs, memorised a difficult script off by heart, remembered numerous stage directions, created their own set, made tons of new friends and performed the entire show with amazing confidence and characterisation in just 4 days! We look forward to seeing you all again in September!

Stage Combat Workshop

As an end of term treat, Main School and Further Stages had a fantastic time completing a Professional workshop with Stage Combat professional Claire LLewlellyn! At Stagecoach Ringwood we always like to provide at least one workshop per year free of charge, so the students can gain a variety of experience in different areas of the Performing Arts.

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Further Stages (for ages 15+ yrs)

Our advanced musical theatre sessions give talented students the chance to extend their performance skills.  Through in-depth training and master classes, we help students to hone their skills in singing, dancing and acting.  We also give students the confidence to audition for theatre and vocational drama schools (if that is their goal) and make sure they are well prepared for interviews and auditions.

Fees in accordance with Main Stages.

Meet The Team

Principal - Emily Edwards - B.A Hons - Q.T.S

Emily took over as Principal of Stagecoach Ringwood in 2013, and is extremely proud of this friendly and busy school! Emily believes in high quality tuition that supports and encourages every student, no matter what their ability in the Performing Arts. She has strived to run a school that is exciting and different every term, and so fun that students never want to leave!
This is the 10th year Emily has worked for Stagecoach, having started as a Dance teacher at Stagecoach New Milton and for Stagecoach abroad, putting on shows for the students on their summer holidays. So she is no stranger to the Stagecoach family.
Emily could dance before she could walk and has been lucky enough to teach, choreograph and perform in a wide variety of dance styles that include RAD Ballet, Contemporary, ISTD and IDTA Jazz, Modern, Disco and Rock 'n' Roll. This has allowed her to teach, perform and compete in the UK & different countries!
Alongside this, Emily is a qualified Secondary School Dance teacher; she holds a BA Honours degree in Dance and Choreography and currently teaches KS1-KS5 performing Arts lessons including GCSE, BTEC First, BTEC National and A-Level Dance. She has also choreographed and helped put on shows for local amateur dramatic companies.
It is a strong ethos of Emily’s to believe in every individual, whether students wish to pursue a career in the Performing arts or take a more academic route. Stagecoach Ringwood encourage every student to believe in themselves no matter what their future career path, it is proven that students who engage in the arts are three times more likely to get a degree and the employability of those students is not only higher but they are more likely to stay in employment. Emily hopes students will come and visit Stagecoach and make life long memories and firm friends. No matter what students to choose to go on to next, we will support and encourage along the way, making it possible!
