Samba workshop!

Each year we invite in a visiting professional workshop to show our students another element of the Performing Arts. This year Stagecoach Ringwood enjoyed learning how to play the Samba drums, they were ace and due to demonstrating such focused and positive attitudes, sounded amazing at the end of the morning in our 'concert' for the parents!

Wimborne Folk Festival

We had a ball performing in the parade and on the family stage in the Wimborne Folk Festival! The sun was beaming and everyone was very brave, doing some fantastic, energetic dancing and singing around Wimborne Minster. Thank you for having us the Folk Festival, it was amazing and we can't wait until next year.

A Royal Jubilee!

Stagecoach Ringwood had lots of fun celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. We dressed up at Stagecoach, played lots of royal games, ate cake plus we performed at the Furlong Centre in Ringwood. The highlight was seeing who could sing the national anthem louder, the students or the parents?! It is safe to say, the students won!!

The Bournemouth Pavilion

Main Stages and Further Stages students from Stagecoach Ringwood and Wimborne have just completed the most wonderful Gala evening at the Bournemouth Pavilion, joined by our local Stagecoach neighbours, students wowed the audience with their professional performances! All the teachers and Principal Emily are so very proud of everyone involved!

We met the Mayor!

We were honoured to have Cllr David Kelsey introduce and close our Gala evening at the Bournemouth Pavilion. Our amazing students blew him away! Here are Further Stages enjoying and posing for a photograph with the man himself!

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Stagecoach Early Stages
Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Stagecoach Main Stages
Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Further Stages (for ages 15+ yrs)

Stagecoach Further Stages
Our advanced musical theatre sessions give talented students the chance to extend their performance skills.  Through in-depth training and master classes, we help students to hone their skills in singing, dancing and acting.  We also give students the confidence to audition for theatre and vocational drama schools (if that is their goal) and make sure they are well prepared for interviews and auditions.

Fees in accordance with Main Stages.

Meet The Team

Principal - Emily Edwards - B.A Hons - Q.T.S

Emily took over as Principal of Stagecoach Ringwood in 2013, and is extremely proud of this friendly and busy school! Emily believes in high quality tuition that supports and encourages every student, no matter what their ability in the Performing Arts. She has strived to run a school that is exciting and different every term, and so fun that students never want to leave!
Emily is now very proud to now be opening Stagecoach Wimborne due to popular demand. This is the 16th year Emily has worked for Stagecoach and is no stranger to the Stagecoach family! Emily started as a Dance teacher at Stagecoach New Milton and for Stagecoach abroad, putting on shows for students on their summer holidays.

Emily could dance before she could walk and has been lucky enough to teach, choreograph and perform in a wide variety of dance styles that include RAD Ballet, Contemporary, ISTD and IDTA Jazz, Modern, Disco and Rock & Roll. This has allowed her to teach, perform and compete in the UK & different countries!
Alongside this, Emily is a qualified Secondary School Dance teacher; she holds a BA Honours degree in Dance and Choreography and has taught KS1-KS5 performing Arts lessons including GCSE, BTEC First, BTEC National and A-Level Dance. She has also choreographed and helped put on shows for local amateur dramatic companies.

It is a strong ethos of Emily’s to believe in every individual, whether students wish to pursue a career in the Performing arts or take a more academic route. Stagecoach Ringwood encourage every student to believe in themselves no matter what their future career path, it is proven that students who engage in the arts are three times more likely to get a degree and the employability of those students is not only higher but they are more likely to stay in employment. (Source: Cultural Learning Alliance).

Emily hopes students will come and visit Stagecoach and make life long memories and firm friends. No matter what students to choose to go on to next, we will support and encourage along the way, making it possible!
