Stagecoach Putney

We pride ourselves on offering a safe environment where children can receive quality training in the performing arts. We welcome new students of all ages and abilities. Many children join us with no previous experience and all we ask is that they are enthusiastic and keen to learn. Stagecoach Putney students thrive in an environment where creativity is nurtured and technique and style are developed each week. We teach students to act, sing and dance and then watch as they become more confident, poised and self-assured. We provide performance opportunities at the school twice a year. One takes the form of a demonstration of class work, whilst the other is a set piece on stage, complete with costumes and lighting.

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Meet The Teachers

Principal - Adele Rockell - BA Music and Drama, Theatre & Performance Studies

Adele trained in music and drama at Roehampton University of Surrey, where she graduated with a BA Hons degree. Having performed in both the UK from a very young age and also during her university degree exchange in Australia, she loves having the opportunity to pass on her skills to young people. It is great to witness the way that arts can build confidence, poise and self esteem in young people as well as developing their imagination, creativity and growing their skills in team building, focus - and of course drama, singing and dance! Adele is very excited to be taking on the role of Principal at Stagecoach Putney and is looking forward to working in partnership with the teachers and students to make sure that high standards are always met.
