Stagecoach Peterborough

I have taught for Stagecoach schools around the south east of England for ten years. I started my work with Stagecoach Theatre Arts as an Early Stages teacher but moved into teaching Singing at Huntingdon soon after. I have worked for Stagecoach ever since as a Singing, Drama and Early Stages teacher. It’s a job that I have always enjoyed and I was so excited to become the principal of Stagecoach Peterborough. Stagecoach Peterborough have performed 'Stagecoach Showcase' at Her Majesty's Theatre, they have also made a gala performance at The Apex Theatre Bury St Edmunds. One of the most amazing things they have done is that they have voiced in a Million charity concert.

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Further Stages (for ages 15+ yrs)

Our advanced musical theatre sessions give talented students the chance to extend their performance skills.  Through in-depth training and master classes, we help students to hone their skills in singing, dancing and acting.  We also give students the confidence to audition for theatre and vocational drama schools (if that is their goal) and make sure they are well prepared for interviews and auditions.

Fees in accordance with Main Stages.

Principal - Naomi Akielan - BA (Hons) QTS

I have taught for Stagecoach schools around the south east of England for ten years. I also teach as a Drama teacher at a secondary school in Cambridgeshire.

I started my work with Stagecoach Theatre Arts as an Early Stages teacher but moved into teaching Singing at Huntingdon soon after. Since then, I have been lucky enough to have been part of seeing how Stagecoach nurtures confidence, collaboration and of course performing arts skills among so many young people.

I have worked professionally as a singer and actress on the stage and on screen. When there is time, I still enjoy being involved in the performing arts. My experiences have been instrumental in the way that I encourage students who wish to pursue the arts as a career. I have also worked as an examiner for Edexcel and for the Arts Council UK.

At Peterborough Stagecoach, we strive to offer our students the chance to reach their personal goals and to grow within a safe and supportive environment.
