Early Stages
Our Early Stages classes are for children aged 4 to 6 and the children learn new skills in dance, drama and singing, and make new friends. Did you know that research shows  that children and young people who regularly engage in performing arts become more confident and competent learners and...

- feel more confident in their communication
- are better at solving problems
- are more innovative and entrepreneurial
- spend less time in front of a TV or a computer
- are more likely to be a central character in the classroom and enjoy school.

And they thought they were just having fun!

LAMDA Exams
Did you know the Stagecoach Newmarket offers students the chance to take ‘LAMDA’ exams? Students work with our specialist coach Beau Roberts to prepare their pieces and then perform in front of an examiner. These exams are a fantastic way to improve children’s confidence as well as expanding their skill set.  Lamda`s recognised qualifications are included in the current UCAS Tariff when making applications to higher education courses in the UK.

OUR SCHOOL
At Stagecoach Newmarket performing arts school we believe in the potential of every child and many of the skills we teach are transferable. Singing and dance classes improve children`s numeracy skills through visualising rhythm and number patters. In drama classes, students develop leadership and communication skills through learning as part of a team.  Our dance classes also make movement fun!

OUR TRAINING
At Stagecoach Newmarket in our dance classes  we do jazz dance, hip-hop, pop, street dance and work on technique, strength and performance skills. Drama classes involve skills and confidence building techniques through improvisation and devising and children also learn to work from scripts. In our singing lessons, we learn a wide variety of songs in solo, two-part and three-part harmony. We work on audition techniques and presentation skills all of which are skills for life

PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES
In addition to the performance opportunities we provide in theatres, our students  also perform  a demonstration of class work once a year for parents, where they can see a snapshot of the warm ups, exercises and fun routines the children do in class and parents can see their child`s progress.
