Spring term 2017
This term at we are starting off our term with our performance of ‘Ebenezer’, the musical version of ‘A Christmas Carol’, which we unfortunately had to postpone at the end of last term. Afterwards all our students will begin auditions and rehearsals for our summer production of ‘Oliver ‘ which we will be performing in July.
Summer Holiday Workshop
Our Summer Workshop this year promises to be another fast paced, fun filled week of singing, dancing and acting. Join us from Monday 24th July to Friday 28th July at the Nantwich Players Theatre for “Pirates of the Curry Bean”. It’s a swashbuckling adventure set on the high seas and is a piratical musical that's sure to shake your booty! With colourful characters, sparkling songs and a witty script as sharp as a cutlass, this show is dripping with piratical style!
Students Perform with The Opera Boys
On Sunday February 12th students from Stagecoach Nantwich have been invited to perform alongside The Opera Boys at the Crewe Lyceum as part of their UK tour. The Opera Boys are the UK’s finest classically trained tenors and have all performed lead roles in the West End and on Broadway in New York. They will be performing a mixture of classical, pop and musical theatre numbers and our students will be singing with them on stage as well as performing a musical number of their own.
Our students did a fantastic job recently when we provided the children's choir for the Russian State Ballet & Opera House as part of their UK tour of the world class opera, Carmen! Our choir impressed everyone by singing their musical number in French and this was translated for the audience with digital subtitles. It was most definitely an experience they wont forget!
Jekyll & Hyde UK Tour
Well done to our Stage 2 student Amiee who performed at the Lyceum Theatre in Crewe alongside a whole host of famous faces in the Talking Scarlet production of Jekyll & Hyde. Aimee played the part of a young girl who was attacked by Mr Hyde and thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the tour.
New Further Stages Class
Well done to our Further Stages students who took part in the Chelford Drama Festival. Our students won awards for “Best Youth Play” and “Best Individual Youth Performance” for their performance of D.N.A. a dark and thought provoking play about bullying.
