Stagecoach Long Eaton

Welcome to Stagecoach Long Eaton’s website. We are a well established school with a team of dedicated and professional teachers. We aim to help the children thrive in a fun and encouraging environment from week to week. If your child loves to sing, dance or act for you at home, this is the place to bring them to to enhance those skills! Maybe your child lacks confidence and you want to help them through this. We can help them! Each week, children aged 4-18 will experience 3 sessions of drama, dance and singing and make new friends at the same time. We encourage a community environment at our school by inviting parents in twice a year to watch performances.

BE ACTIVE ON ZOOM!

We might have to stay at home but that does not mean we cannot be physically active, creative and have fun! Join us on Zoom. The classes will be in a LIVE interactive environment that your child can take part in from home with our usual teachers. Once we are able to return to the venue, the classes will be resuming as normal.

Enrolling now for Spring!

We are now taking enrolments for the Spring 2021 term. Enrol now to avoid disappointment. Places are strictly limited due to COVID-19 safeguarding procedures.

NEW temporary venue

We are now able to operate our COVID-secure autumn term from a temporary venue at Jurys Inn, Castle Donington. This is a stunning modern venue with easy access from the M1 and Sawley directions. We hope to move back to our usual venue ASAP, but we are at least now able to make a start on returning to our regular in-person classes.

Two Week Trial

Why not book a 2-week trial with us? It's just £25 for Early Stages (4-6 yrs - 2 x 90-minute sessions), and £50 for Main/Further Stages (6+ years - 2 x 3-hour sessions). After your child's 2 week trial, should they wish to enrol for the full term, the trial fees paid will be deducted from the full term's fees. We also offer sibling discounts.

15 year anniversary

Stagecoach Long Eaton was established over 15 years ago in 2003 and ran from the Alderman White school as Stagecoach Beeston for most of that time. We have now renamed our school to match the new venue we run from (the Long Eaton School), but we are still the same Stagecoach you all know and love with over 30 years of experience in the industry!

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Stagecoach Early Stages
Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Stagecoach Main Stages
Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Further Stages (for ages 15+ yrs)

Stagecoach Further Stages
Our advanced musical theatre sessions give talented students the chance to extend their performance skills.  Through in-depth training and master classes, we help students to hone their skills in singing, dancing and acting.  We also give students the confidence to audition for theatre and vocational drama schools (if that is their goal) and make sure they are well prepared for interviews and auditions.

Fees in accordance with Main Stages.

Meet The Team

Principal - Karin Webber

Karin has a BA (Hons) in Education with a Certificate of Education and is a qualified Primary School teacher. She has a love of theatre and both of her daughters attended Stagecoach for many years. Karin chaperoned for Stagecoach, on many occasions, when her older daughter took part in various performances. Her older daughter eventually went on to the Oxford School of Drama and LIPA (Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts) and is now an actress. Karin’s younger daughter followed a different career path in sport, but again her experience at Stagecoach provided her with many skills that helped her within her chosen career. This has provided Karin with a real insight from a parent’s perspective of what a parent may be looking for from Stagecoach.

In addition to teaching, Karin was also Managing Director of a sizeable business. Both of these experiences have provided Karin with valuable life skills, including management, teambuilding and motivation, as well as an appreciation of how the skills acquired whilst training in performing arts can be so relevant to everyday life. Stagecoach Theatre Arts Long Eaton has been operating for 15 years and over this time students have been involved in many theatre productions, tv series and several have progressed to prestigious drama schools. Karin is looking forward to continuing to develop opportunities and is looking to provide students with the opportunity to perform at prestigious events and venues within the Long Eaton area.

Karin strongly believes in the Stagecoach statement of ‘Creative Courage For Life’ and wishes to help students to develop confidence and life skills, with highly skilled and experienced teachers, in a safe, fun and creative environment.
