Meet The Team

Principal - Jasmine Decker - BA(Hons) PGCE QTS

Jasmine started her Stagecoach journey as an Early Stages pupil at the young age of 4. She then went on to complete 12 years at Stagecoach, leaving at the age of 16. It was at this time in 2008 that the principal of Stagecoach Letchworth asked Jasmine to join the staffing team as an Early Stages Assistant. After 6 years of moving from Early Stages Assistant to Main School Dance Teacher Jasmine was offered the chance to purchase Stagecoach Letchworth and Hitchin and take the final step as principal in 2014.

Whilst being a dedicated member of the Stagecoach teaching team Jasmine was awarded the role of Deputy Head Girl at The John Henry Newman School where she gained her A Levels in Dance(A) and Drama(A). After sixth form Jasmine went on to achieve her degree in Performing Arts at The London Metropolitan University. During this time Jasmine was also able to gain Distinction in her Royal Academy of Dance Ballet training. Having gained her D.L.A (Dance Leaders Award) and J.S.L.A (Junior Sports Leaders Award) at a young age, Jasmine has been leading young children in all sports and dance activities throughout her own performance training.

While teaching and studying, Jasmine has been involved in a number of works that have gone to performance standard. These include “The Three Sisters” (2011), “A Midsummer Nights Dream” (2012) and “In Between There Are Doors” (2013) which took place at The Bernie Grants Arts Centre in London. While at University Jasmine was also part of the L.M.U Cheerleading/Dance Squad that competed at Regional and National level.

After University Jasmine gained a place at the Royal Academy of Dance in London to complete her Professional Dance Teaching qualifications. In July 2014 Jasmine completed her QTS gaining an Outstanding Level as her final graduating grade. Now working as a part-time dance teacher during the week Jasmine is able to split her attention between her two great passions; Stagecoach and teaching.
