Stagecoach Leicester

Welcome to Stagecoach Leicester where we believe in encouraging every child to push the limits of their own potential. We provide a first class education in singing, dancing and acting for children aged 4-18. The lessons, taught within our 3 hour school on Saturday mornings or afternoons, can help your children develop as confident, disciplined individuals and give them a lifelong gift of creative and artistic expression.

If you are looking into Stagecoach, I am sure you are already keen to make sure that your child's developmental needs are being met whether they are looking to gain more confidence through friendship and performance or to become the next big thing in the West End! Our foremost aim is to enable children to gain confidence and skills for life, but if they show they have the desire and talent to pursue a career in performance, they will be in the right place and we will do everything in our power to help them reach their goals.

We now also offer adult classes, which combine singing, acting and dancing and are 2 hours on a Wednesday evening during term time. These classes offer many tof the same benefits of our children's classes, but are tailored for adults.

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. Meet The Team

Principal - Karin Webber

Karin has a BA (Hons) in Education with a Certificate of Education and is a qualified Primary School teacher. She has a love of theatre and both of her daughters attended Stagecoach for many years. Karin chaperoned for Stagecoach, on many occasions, when her older daughter took part in various performances. Her older daughter eventually went on to the Oxford School of Drama and LIPA (Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts) and is now an actress. Karin’s younger daughter followed a different career path in sport, but again her experience at Stagecoach provided her with many skills that helped her within her chosen career. This has provided Karin with a real insight from a parent’s perspective of what a parent may be looking for from Stagecoach.

In addition to teaching, Karin was also Managing Director of a sizeable business. Both of these experiences have provided Karin with valuable life skills, including management, teambuilding and motivation, as well as an appreciation of how the skills acquired whilst training in performing arts can be so relevant to everyday life. Stagecoach Theatre Arts Leicester has been operating for 18 years and over this time students have been involved in many theatre productions at Curve and Demontfort Hall, tv series and several have progressed to prestigious drama schools. Karin is looking forward to continuing to develop opportunities and is looking to provide students with the opportunity to perform at prestigious events and venues within Leicester.

Karin strongly believes in the Stagecoach statement of ‘Creative Courage For Life’ and wishes to help students to develop confidence and life skills, with highly skilled and experienced teachers, in a safe, fun and creative environment.
