Stagecoach Leeds Horsforth

A very big welcome to Stagecoach Horsforth! Anyone that comes to visit us here agrees that there is a wonderful atmosphere and the schools are buzzing with energy and excitement.  Stagecoach Leeds Horsforth provides children with the opportunity to participate in all three performing arts disciplines - drama classes, dance classes and singing classes - helping to develop confidence, physical awareness, communication and articulation - as well as being educational and lots of fun.

Past students have studied performance at various universities, and SLP college Leeds. Students have performed at EuroDisney, West Yorkshire Playhouse, Leeds Town Hall, and in touring productions at the Grand Theatre, Leeds.

The School regularly enters students for Lamda and Trinity exams and has an excellent track record of Exam success.

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Holiday Workshops

Themed Children's Parties

Birthdays & Celebrations

We understand that with the increasing demands on parents, juggling the pressures of work and family life, time is of the essence. Therefore Stagecoach Parties provide a way to remove the stress from what should be a day of celebration for everyone and allow you to sit back, relax and let us do all the work! Whether they want to be fairies, pirates or detectives, there is a Stagecoach Party for everyone!

Meet The Team

Principal - Heather Salvador

Heather trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. It was there that she discovered her love of teaching. She taught for Stagecoach in Glasgow and when she returned to Yorkshire she was offered the post of singing teacher at Stagecoach in Leeds. She has since taught a wide range of students from leading baby music classes to teaching for Bradford College. She has worked within primary and secondary schools, post-16 colleges and been Musical Director for various adult groups throughout the country.

Heather originally became Principal of Stagecoach Horsforth in 2005 during which time the school thrived under her direction.  In 2009 she took a career break to look after her two young sons.  She is very excited to be Principal once again at Horsforth and has many performance opportunities planned for students over the next year.
