Annual Review - November

Our latest inspection report was outstanding. It complimented each discipline and the teaching and learning was 'exceeding.' Our favourite quote was: "This school embodies a strong sense of community. The focus on excellence and the creation of a warm and inspiring community where there is a safe and supportive space for creative exploration..."

Adelphi Theatre 2019

In October, Stagecoach Horsham pupils took to the Adelphi Theatre in London to display their extraordinary talents before a London audience. We were incredibly proud of each and every student who sang, danced and performed with a terrific amount of energy, enthusiasm and 'creative courage.'

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Further Stages (for ages 15+ yrs)

Our advanced musical theatre sessions give talented students the chance to extend their performance skills.  Through in-depth training and master classes, we help students to hone their skills in singing, dancing and acting.  We also give students the confidence to audition for theatre and vocational drama schools (if that is their goal) and make sure they are well prepared for interviews and auditions.

Fees in accordance with Main Stages.

Meet The Team

Principal - Adam Rood

Stagecoach has always been part of Adam’s life. He attended Stagecoach Southampton aged 9-14. His teaching at Stagecoach began aged 19 when he was completing his degree at The Guildford School of Acting. He spent five years as a Singing Teacher at Stagecoach Kingston and a further six as the Drama Teacher at Stagecoach Leatherhead. During his long teaching career, he met Rosie Biggs (Principal of Stagecoach Crawley.)

Adam and Rosie took over Stagecoach Crawley in December 2014 and acquired Stagecoach Horsham a year later.  In addition to his Stagecoach journey, Adam has taught at some of the UK’s most prestigious Drama Schools, working with students aged 4-74. He has worked as an actor, director, composer, writer and teacher in more than 5,000 public performances.

Adam and Rosie have three children, Gracie, Poppy and Freddie and are thrilled that Stagecoach still plays such an integral part in their lives. “Our main aim is to create a happy, family atmosphere, where every single person is valued and encouraged to be creative.”
