A very big welcome to Stagecoach Harpenden! We believe that the whole world is a stage and the skills children learn at Stagecoach Harpenden will help them at school, university and in their future careers. We provide children with the opportunity to participate in all three performing arts disciplines - singing, dancing and acting - helping to develop confidence, physical awareness, communication and articulation, as well as being educational, safe and lots of fun.

Early Stages Inspection

HONK

Our Main School students had an amazing time during the Spring term 2018 performing in their show to parents - a musical tale of the Ugly Duckling story which was enjoyed by all! This Spring term we are preparing for our presentation of Disney's "Hercules" which is a fantastic vehicle to showcase their talents!

Summer Workshop fun!

Our Summer Holiday Workshop at Sir John Lawes School will run from Monday 22nd July- Friday 26th July from 9.30am - 4.30pm with a longer session on the Friday which includes a 'Showcase' for parents at 6.00pm. We will be highlighting 'NUMBERS' as our theme for the week which will take the students through various musicals, old and new!

Early Stages Workshop

The Early Stages workshop will be run by Michelle and Sophie from Monday 22nd July - Thursday 25th July from 10.00am - 1.00pm with a 'Showcase' for parents at 12.30pm on the Thursday. The theme will be 'ROYAL COURT'. Our students will all be between the age range 4-6 yrs and a wonderful time awaits!

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

Principal - Liz Blower - BA Hons Drama

Liz bought Stagecoach Reading North in 2004 having completed six years working as a Deputy Cruise Director for Princess Cruises. After six years at the helm in Reading and doubling the number of schools, Liz has been principal of Stagecoach Harpenden since September 2010. 
Since then students in Harpenden have enjoyed a number of different shows over the years including 'Oklahoma!', 'Cats' and more recently, an open-air production of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'.
