Stagecoach Farnham

At Stagecoach Farnham we provide an all round performing arts training experience. We have regular singing, dance and acting classes, but we also offer added extras. External practitioners come in and offer one off workshops, such as circus skills, stage combat, filming for TV and acting with RADA. We put on a show once a year in a professional theatre environment and we have a Performance Troupe open to every student, putting on performances locally, but also on the West End stage!

We pride ourselves on offering quality part time classes in singing, dance and acting for 4-18 year olds, but mainly Stagecoach Farnham can help build confidence. Learning in a fun, safe and encouraging environment can really help the shyest child grow and become more outgoing. Dance, drama and singing brings children together, engaging them with lessons that they can then share with family and friends outside of the classroom and help to build skills that will last a lifetime.

Our classes run every Friday and Saturday in term time at Farnham College, so why not enrol for our two week trial today!

Well done to every Main Stages student for a fabulous annual production! Our performance at The Aldridge Theatre is the highlight of the year and everyone worked so hard, brilliant job everybody!

Summer Workshops 2019!

Well done to everyone who took part in our summer workshops in July and August. Everyone worked so hard and we had a blast putting on a show in a week! Watch this space for next year's dates and remember to book your place as soon as possible to join us next summer for a fun-filled week.

Regional showcase

We are delighted to say that our 'Further Stages' students put on a wonderful performance at The Princes Hall in November. 'Elevate' showcases Stagecoach talent from around the country. Our students prepared a piece based on the popular musical 'Newsies' and had a brilliant day performing in such a wonderful venue.

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Further Stages (for ages 15+ yrs)

Our advanced musical theatre sessions give talented students the chance to extend their performance skills.  Through in-depth training and master classes, we help students to hone their skills in singing, dancing and acting.  We also give students the confidence to audition for theatre and vocational drama schools (if that is their goal) and make sure they are well prepared for interviews and auditions.

Fees in accordance with Main Stages.

Meet The Team

Principal - Emma Beet

With a passion for the performing arts Emma's background is based in dance and drama. After a childhood of appearing on stage with a local dance school, and a long association with Elmbridge Youth Theatre, Emma then went on to achieve her Bachelor of Arts in Drama and English Literature from Winchester University. She then studied Cultural Policy and Management at City University, London. From 2004- 2013 Emma worked as a Regional Manager for Stagecoach Theatre Arts Head Office and spent that time travelling around the country seeing many of Stagecoach's 600 schools in action. Since becoming Principal of Stagecoach Farnham the students have been given opportunities to perform on stages large and small, from the Christmas Light Switch On in Gostrey Meadow in Farnham to Her Majesty's Theatre in London's West End! Emma is really looking forward to the term ahead and knows from direct experience how Stagecoach delivers on its aim to help every student achieve their own personal goals.
