Stagecoach Farnborough

Welcome to Stagecoach Farnborough performing arts school. I have been Principal of the school since 2003 in which time Stagecoach Farnborough has become a thriving theatre school thanks to a superb team of experienced teachers and helpers all helping to make the school run so smoothly and so successfully.

We welcome everyone to our school from beginners to students who want to build on their talents and skills whilst experiencing a theatre school environment. All we ask for at Stagecoach is for students to come along, do their very best and enjoy themselves. Students who attend our school generally stay for a long time because they do enjoy it so much; they are awarded medals and certificates when they have attended for three years or more. Whilst enjoying their time at Stagecoach they are also picking up important life skills too. Some of our students come to Stagecoach to hone their acting and performing skills, others come along to help improve their confidence and self-esteem. Our experienced teachers spot talent, skills and strengths in our students. They then encourage the students to build on those strengths to take on new challenges too. We are always looking for performance opportunities for our Stagecoach Farnborough students.

Principal - Peter Grant

Peter has lived in Farnborough for most of his life, so when he was offered the opportunity to take over Stagecoach in Farnborough he didn't hesitate to accept. Peter has been Principal of Stagecoach Farnborough since April 2003. He has a grown up daughter of his own and can clearly remember the days when he had to ferry her around from music lessons to dance and then to drama on another night so he knows what an advantage the Stagecoach formula can be to a busy family. Peter has maintained an interest in all aspects of performing arts over the years. He has made regular appearances in local productions at Camberley Theatre. This included performing in a new musical called Catherine, playing Luke in 'Anything Goes' and Sir Jasper in 'Me and My Girl'. He's also played the part of Geoffrey in a production of Stepping Out. He has featured in network TV quiz shows and performed at many local events and festivals. Peter has experience working behind the scenes on large productions including building and dismantling large pieces of scenery. More recently he has been performing stand-up comedy in and around London. In 2012 Peter set up the very respected 'Havana Laugh' Comedy clubs in Windsor and Ruislip to give young up and coming talent an opportunity to perform and try out their material. In March 2011 he had material recorded for a feature film called 'The Squeakies'. In March 2014 Peter set up and ran 'Little Ben's Big Benefit Gig', a variety show that featured professional comics and singers performing alongside students from Stagecoach Farnborough to raise money for a local charity.
