Welcome to Stagecoach Evesham. We are a part time performing arts school offering high quality and inclusive classes in Drama, Dance and Singing for 4 – 18 year olds. Stagecoach Evesham has been running for over 10 years and is part of the UK’s largest network of part time performing arts school.

Here at Stagecoach Evesham we pride ourselves on making sure our performing arts curriculum is delivered by experienced and highly skilled teachers. We ensure that all students are given the chance to grow and flourish as young performers. These experiences include not only our fun and interactive lessons and in house performances but also opportunities to work with other professional performing artists as well as involvement in regional, national and international events.

Stagecoach’s motto is ‘Creative courage for life’. We believe that it is extremley important for children and young people to be able to develop their creativity and build their confidence to help them with life experiences. Stagecoach is a safe, fun and supportive environment where students can build new friendships, develop their social skills, use their creative thinking skills and work as part of a team. Above all else Stagecoach is a place where children and young people can gain pure enjoyment through many different and exciting opportunities.

Guinness World Record!!

We are so excited to be able to announce that Stagecoach Evesham were part of this fantastic experience. Not only did our students have an amazing time performing Disney's Beauty and the Beast Jr at The Palace Theatre in Redditch, they can now also say that they are Guinness World Record holders!! Congratulations to everyone involved.

Spring Term 2019

This term our Early Stages groups will be putting on a delightful little musical called 'Billy No Buzz' which they will perform to their families at the end of the term. Meanwhile our Main Stages student's will be developing performance pieces for our end of term variety showcase.

Early Stages Pershore

We are now in our second term of our Early Stages class in Pershore and the class if expanding and making fantastic progress. The class takes place at the Number 8 Arts Centre every Monday during term time 4pm - 5.30pm. We still have spaces so why not book your child onto a two week trial.

Being inspired

At Stagecoach Evesham we think it is really important to give our students the opportunity to be inspired by industry professionals to give them a real insight into the many different performing arts career opportunities available. Last term we were very lucky to have a West End performer and a circus performer come in to work with the student's

Performance Troupe

This term we have started our first performance troupe at Stagecoach Evesham. Performance troupe consists of students 10 plus who rehearse for an extra 45mins each week. Their first project is a short performance which they will be taking to the Shaftesbury Theatre in the West End next April. Each year we will invite new members to join.

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

Meet The Team

Principal - Charmaine Brumby - BA PGCE

Charmaine has taught Drama for Stagecoach Evesham since it opened in 2006 and she took over the role of Principal in July 2017.

In 2005 Charmaine graduated from Bretton Hall, Leeds University with a BA Hons Degree in Acting. During her time at University Charmaine travelled to the USA to work at a Summer Camp teaching drama to 5-16 year olds.

After finishing her course at University, Charmaine pursued a career in acting and performed in various theatre productions, theatre in education tours and short films.

In 2009 Charmaine decided to pursue her love of teaching drama and took a PGCE in Secondary Drama at BCU. In 2009, Charmaine became a full time drama teacher at a Secondary school in Solihull where she taught KS3, GCSE and BTEC.

Charmaine is very passionate about the important role the performing arts plays in a childs education. She strongly believes in ‘Creative courage for life’ and is excited to take on this new role as principal, helping students build these important life skills and make memories they will treasure for life.
