Stagecoach Congleton has been providing quality part-time training in singing, dancing and acting for over 8 years. As part of the UK's largest network of part-time performing arts schools, Stagecoach Congleton is more than just a stage school, theatre school or drama school. We ensure that each child gets the most out of their experience by building life skills and confidence while having lots of fun.

An independent inspector who visited Stagecoach Congleton recently reported that ""this is a well run school with good and very good teaching. The students are individually encouraged and work very well together. Drama is outstanding. The students imaginations are stretched with excellent skills being taught. The principal is seen in many classes and cares for the students."

MATILDA Summer Workshop

A Disney Kind Of Summer

Students from Stagecoach Congleton were thrilled to join up with students from Stagecoach Schools across the country to Dance The Dream at Disneyland Paris! Students took part in workshops with the Disney Vocal Coach and the Disney Choreographer before singing in front of the Castle to open the park and leading the Disney Parade.

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Further Stages (for ages 15+ yrs)

Our advanced musical theatre sessions give talented students the chance to extend their performance skills.  Through in-depth training and master classes, we help students to hone their skills in singing, dancing and acting.  We also give students the confidence to audition for theatre and vocational drama schools (if that is their goal) and make sure they are well prepared for interviews and auditions.

Meet The Teachers

Principal - Chris Brown

Chris started working in professional theatre in America when he was 14, starting out in a production of “Mary Poppins”.
After several more years in theatre and after completing his BFA in Drama and Musical Theatre at Syracuse University alongside several future Hollywood stars Chris headed to New York City to continue his journey.
That Journey has seen him perform lead and supporting roles internationally in productions including OKLAHOMA, ASSASSINS, THE THREEPENNY OPERA (Tiger Brown), GREASE (Doody, Danny understudy), MISS SAIGON, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (Gaston), STARLIGHT EXPRESS (Greaseball) and DANCE OF THE VAMPIRES, working with Hollywood, Broadway and West End stars, Pop Stars and celebrities including Jennifer Lopez, Arlene Philips, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Roman Polanski.
Along the way Chris has taught acting and singing to students ranging from children to established West End and Broadway performers to professional recording artists. 
Chris is very excited to bring his passion and expertise to Stagecoach Congleton. "I wish I had this sort of training and opportunity when I was younger. Thanks to Stagecoach I can help these kids develop not only as performers, but as rounded, confident individuals."
