Stagecoach Chorleywood

Welcome to Stagecoach Chorleywood.

If you're interested in our Friday after school classes, please visit our sister school Stagecoach Rickmansworth.

We are a friendly, family run school providing high quality, part-time training in the performing arts to children aged 4-6 yrs and 6-18 years. We aim to nurture and develop young potential through singing, acting and dance classes - stretching young imaginations, building confidence and life skills whilst always having lots of fun every weekend in a warm and caring environment. All ages and abilities are always assured a very warm welcome at our school. No experience necessary!

We love performing and each year we host a show at Watersmeet, a Christmas show at our schools, demos for parents to watch, plus our students even perform in the West End! We even. offer optional Lamda exams for ages 5yrs+.

Our teachers are all trained performers who are passionate about teaching and combine their own performing careers with nurturing and inspiring our wonderful students - some attended Stagecoach when they were younger too!

Early Stages-Coming up...

Following on from a super Christmas Show we are looking forward to Parents Do Stagecoach and a lovely "colour" themed, creative term with a summertime concert to prepare for as well! Featuring songs, drama and some super MT dances we hope students will love this term's excitement! We also have a photoshoot in costume to look forward to too....

Main Stages-Coming up....

It is our 30th anniversary year and we want to celebrate with everyone! We are producing our own plays in class, hosting Parents do Stagecoach and getting ready to perform at Watersmeet! Alongside this we have three performances in London's West End coming up and a special record breaking performance of Beauty and The Beast at the Colosseum!

Watersmeet Musical Show

We are thrilled to be back at Watersmeet in 2018 hosting our 30th Year Musical Theatre Show and Afterparty for all our students and families. Featuring our favourite MT pieces we cannot wait to perform on the big stage once more! We hope everyone will love this very special event in aid of The Peace Hospice.

West End Live Performance

In 2018 we are thrilled to be preparing for a record breaking THREE performances at Shaftesbury and Her Majesty's Theatre in London's West End. This enables us to give even more students the chance to perform at these iconic venues and include soloists as well! I know students love these events and the standard of their work always amazes me.

FREE Street Dance Class

Caution, our turbo charged dance company offers students passionate about street dance the chance to learn challenging and dynamic choreography and tricks in a fast paced dynamic environment. We are thrilled to be making our debut in the West End at the end of 2018 and proud that this company's classes remain FREE to our students!

We are a Lamda Centre

As a popular Lamda centre, we offer ALL grades from Intro/Entry to Gold level in Acting, MT or Verse and Prose via personalised tuition. Tuition takes place whilst students are at Stagecoach and class work is vital to ensuring they do well in these exams. We were thrilled to get the latest result back recently - Distinction Acting Silver Medal.

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Holiday Workshops

Themed Children's Parties

Birthdays & Celebrations

We understand that with the increasing demands on parents, juggling the pressures of work and family life, time is at an essence. Therefore Stagecoach Parties provide a way to remove the stress from what should be a day of celebration for everyone and allow you to sit back, relax and let us do all the work! Whether they want to be fairies, pirates or detectives, there is a Stagecoach Party for everyone!
