Stagecoach Chiswick

A very big welcome to Stagecoach Performing Arts Chiswick, where I am passionate about performing arts stretching young imaginations and building life skills like communication, confidence and creativity.

Along with an outstanding team of teachers, all professional performers, I run a fun and exciting school.  I go above and beyond to exceed expectations so that Stagecoach Chiswick is an inspiring place to be.

The students at Stagecoach Chiswick are fun, friendly and welcoming of new students. They work as a team and are encouraging of each other. Whilst the majority of students come because they want to learn, boost confidence and have fun with like-minded individuals, some come to the school because they have a strong talent they wish to nurture for a professional career in performance. Some of these students have already enjoyed success in professional theatre, television and film through the Stagecoach Agency. Either way, it doesn't matter as we don't audition students and we cater for them all, so long as they have the enthusiasm and desire to learn.

Temporary Closure

Back after the interval These children are experiencing a once in a lifetime boredom right now with COVID-19. They are watching too much TV, spending too long on their phones and losing their contact with their friends. Give them something special when we’re all out of this. Stagecoach. It makes children happy and with no devices, it’s really that

Temporary School Closure

We are very sad to suspend Stagecoach Chiswick during this very difficult time. Thank you all who have sent lovely messages of support, which has been hugely comforting. We will be back after the painful interval!

Stagecoach Chiswick has it's own wonderful LAMDA Tutor, Angie Sims who guides students to gain outstanding results in their LAMDA Exams during the Autumn and Summer terms. Last Term saw an ongoing 100% pass rate with 98% being Distinctions. These are not compulsory exams, but definitely a fantastic extra boost to a child's confidence.

Stagecoach uniform can be purchased online at Please note uniform is COMPULSORY for ALL our students. Students who do not have their jazz shoes must perform barefoot. T-Shirts are available in all sizes and we advise you order at least 1-2 sizes bigger than regular shoe size. Any black leggings or stretchy bottoms

Stagecoach Chiswick regularly organises theatre trips to see shows in London's West End. There are some fantastic new shows coming to town so watch this space for the next one. All tickets are heavily discounted tickets for our students, with top price seats at a fraction of the usual price.

JUST LIKE THAT WERE BACK !! Here’s to a fabulous 2020 at Stagecoach. Term begins again this weekend - and there will be NO half term leading up to Easter as we are straight into our Main Stages rehearsals of 'Matilda'. Looking forward to seeing you all again.

It's our Show Term for all our Main Stages students and they can't wait to perform for friends and family at the end of term. Matilda is such a brilliant musical and we expect some thoroughly revolting children!

Past students have gone on to have incredible careers, some in the Performing Arts but many outside the industry. The one thing that makes them great is the variety of skill sets instilled in them at Stagecoach. Teamwork, good listening and empathy, resilience. The list goes on. We are equally proud of all of them.

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Further Stages (for ages 15+ yrs)

Our advanced musical theatre sessions give talented students the chance to extend their performance skills.  Through in-depth training and master classes, we help students to hone their skills in singing, dancing and acting.  We also give students the confidence to audition for theatre and vocational drama schools (if that is their goal) and make sure they are well prepared for interviews and auditions.

Fees in accordance with Main Stages.

Holiday Workshops

Themed Children's Parties

Birthdays & Celebrations

We understand that with the increasing demands on parents, juggling the pressures of work and family life, time is of the essence. Therefore Stagecoach Parties provide a way to remove the stress from what should be a day of celebration for everyone and allow you to sit back, relax and let us do all the work! Whether they want to be fairies, pirates or detectives, there is a Stagecoach Party for everyone!

Meet The Team

Principal - Sally Catlin - BA Hons

A keen performer since her childhood, Sally performed in several musical stage productions and went on to study Drama at St Mary's University, where she gained her BA Hons Degree, majoring in Film and TV. She also did a year's psychology course as well as 3 years of Sociology.

Following a year out au pairing in Paris, she decided to explore other avenues and went on to work in the business side of media, initially at a top London advertising agency and later at some of the world's most renowned publishing and events houses.

In 1998, having taken a year out to travel and keen to change direction back to her roots in performing, the idea of buying her own Stagecoach school and developing it seemed perfect. She opened her first school in 2000 with her sister, whilst still working in Event Sales & Marketing and two years later opened more schools. They now run 8 Main Schools and 13 Early Stages across Chiswick, Kensington and Hammersmith.

Sally's own children have attended Stagecoach since they were 3 years old and she is convinced this has helped their overall progress both in their academic work as well as performers. She is passionate about children's development and is supportive of all her students as well as many of their parents.
