Welcome to Stagecoach Chertsey where we provide quality part-time training in the performing arts for children and teenagers aged 4-6 (Early Stages) and 6-18 (Main Stages). Our singing, dancing and drama classes run on Saturday’s in term time and holiday workshops.

Since 2011 Stagecoach Chertsey has received 7 OUTSTANDING grades in independent inspections and under a new board of reviewers received the HIGHEST grading of 'EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS' for the quality of teaching in the categories of; SINGING, DRAMA and DANCE and for STUDENT PROGRESS: ACHIEVING POTENTIAL.

We offer 2 week Try Outs (Limited places) but there is no audition process and no experience is necessary. In our friendly and nurturing school children quickly make new friends and experience the fun of becoming part of a team as they learn skills for life as well as performance.  By limiting our class sizes it allows our teaching team to support  and enable each child to fulfil their individual potential in a non-competitive, safe and above all fun environment! Our priority is to develop self-confidence and self-esteem, to encourage creative and imaginative expression and build a firm foundation of self-belief for future learning. Stagecoach Chertsey is more than just a stage school, theatre school or drama school. We are proud to offer a full and rounded education, to empower children and young people to be resilient, courageous and confident.

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

Meet The Team

Principal - Caroline McCrink - BA (Hons) Degree in Theatre Arts

Caroline's love of the Performing Arts began when she attended a part-time theatre school as a child. She studied drama, dancing and singing, along with the L.A.M.D.A. syllabus, and she was lucky enough to be cast in TV roles. Later Caroline went on to graduate with a Leeds university B.A. Honours Degree in Theatre Arts. Initially she taught in a series of Theatre in Education programmes in primary schools throughout the UK. Then, as an actress, Caroline performed in National Tours and in Repertory theatre including a season at Chichester Festival Theatre in both the Main House and Minerva, in a variety of leading roles, including Cathy in 'Wuthering Heights', Olivia in 'Twelfth Night' and Emily Bronte in 'The Glass Town Confederacy'. For many years Caroline has been working for Artist Management companies in the music industry but she finds her role of Principal at Stagecoach Chertsey the most rewarding as it gives her the opportunity to work alongside her creative team and share her enduring passion for the Performing Arts.
