Stagecoach Bridgend and Cowbridge

Stagecoach Bridgend and Cowbridge is delighted to welcome you to their schools.
At Stagecoach we provide quality training in the performing arts for children aged 4-18 years.
We nurture and develop young potential through our singing, dance and acting classes.
Stagecoach students become more self-assured, expressive, sociable and imaginative.  And they learn how to tackle life situations with resilience, creativity and courage.
A performing arts education is an education for life.  And a passion that lasts a life-time.

Meet The Team

Principal - Helene & Rob Reynolds - BA Ed (Hons) QTS

Helene and Rob Reynolds have been Principals of Stagecoach Bridgend and Cowbridge since 2008.

Helene trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff, graduating with BA(Hons) Drama, and Education (QTS).  She worked as a specialist drama & theatre arts teacher and director, in the UK and at an international college in Singapore. During this period she held positions of responsibility including Head of Lower & Middle School Drama, Head of Drama Curriculum and Arts Festival Producer.  Helene is an Associate teacher for LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art), and is experienced in preparing students for LAMDA drama exams.
Rob started his performing career as a professional drummer/singer/song-writer. He began performing in Musical Theatre, playing lead roles in countless productions and singing professionally as a soloist. His experience took him into directing, which he did professionally both in the UK and Singapore. Rob worked as Theatre Manager & Primary School Drama Advisor in the same college as Helene in Singapore. His responsibilities included directing, producing and lighting design, as well as teaching and running workshops in stage management/lighting.
Since 2008, Helene and Rob have run successful, thriving Stagecoach schools in Bridgend and the Vale of Glamorgan.  Also running Stagecoach Cardiff from 2013 to 2019. Alongside successful weekly classes, Helene and Rob provide students with extra opportunities for experience and growth.  The ‘Performance Troupe’ formed in 2009, for those students wanting further professional training and performance opportunities.  The ‘Performance Troupe’ has developed into a highly regarded troupe who produce exceptional work.  The ‘Show Choir’ formed in 2015, again to provide further opportunities.  Both perform regularly in regional and London Theatre events.  LAMDA drama exams are offered for those looking to achieve a recognised qualification. Students are often invited to perform alongside local and touring performance companies.  And audition opportunities through the school have led to many students performing on television and in film.  Summer Holiday Workshops are also a highlight of the Stagecoach year.

The high standards in their schools have been duly recognised and rewarded by Stagecoach Support Center.  They were awarded ‘Franchisee of the Year’ in 2015, and the ‘Leadership Award’ in 2018.  The annual inspection report has always classed Stagecoach Bridgend and Cowbridge as ‘Outstanding’ and ‘Exceeding Expectations’.
