A very warm welcome to Stagecoach Performing Arts Bedford, which has been providing quality part time training in singing, dancing and acting for almost 20 years. Principal and Vice Principal team Chris and Katie, have enjoyed varied and extensive professional careers. They believe passionately that the life skills children learn at Stagecoach Bedford, will help kids throughout their education and into their adult lives. We focus on helping to develop confidence, physical awareness, communication and imagination in children, whilst making sure they always have fun in a safe, professional and supportive environment.

Main Stages Next Term

Main Stages 7-18 yrs! 5th/6th January to 23rd/24th March 2018. Next term is our show term and Stagecoach Bedford will be performing ‘Magic Of The Musicals’ Find out more about our Two week trial TODAY.

Easter Holiday Workshop

We have arranged for some of the touring cast of Hairspray to come to Stagecoach Bedford and teach parts of the smash hit show to our students. This will be followed by a trip to the theatre to meet the cast for a Q&A and to watch the matinee performance in Milton Keynes. Book now to avoid disappointment!

Casting Opportunities

30 of our students will be appearing in the new Walt Disney Film ‘Dumbo’ directed by Tim Burton, due to be released early 2019. We can’t wait to see our budding stars on the big screen.

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

Meet The Team

Principal - Chris Adams & Vice Principal Katie Rowley Jones

Principal Chris Adams, along with his wife, Katie Rowley Jones, have both enjoyed successful careers in Musical Theatre, and Katie is currently playing Nessarose in Wicked in the West End. In a career spanning more than 15 years, she has worked with the likes of Idina Menzel, Whoopi Goldberg and Sheila Hancock. She has also taught at some of the top drama schools in London, as well as hosting many West End workshops.
Chris, after graduating from Performers College, (where he also gained his teaching qualifications), performed in numerous West End musicals, including Footloose and Grease. He also worked as a commercial dancer with the likes of Steps and Five, before pursuing a successful career with Billy Elliott, as a technical manager.
They are looking forward to sharing their knowledge and experience, and bringing the West End a little closer to Bedford.
