A warm welcome to Stagecoach Bearsted. We provide high quality training in Singing, Drama and Dance for children aged 4-18 years.

Along with a strong Performance curriculum, Stagecoach supports important life skills, enhancing confidence and communication in your child’s future.

Two Week Trial

Try Singing, Dancing & Acting Classes! Children aged 4 - 18 yrs old are welcome to try our two week trial – a great way to settle in and discover all that Stagecoach has to offer. A two week trial costs £25 for Early Stages (4-6 year olds) and £50 for Main Stages (6-18 year olds) - enrol below.

Early Stages Autumn 19

Come inside the Stagecoach toy chest and bring your imagination to life! Autumn Term will bring Early Stages into the magical world of robots, dolls, teddy bears, and toy soldiers...

Main Stages Autumn 19

Next term, Main Stages students will be exploring musicals based on pop music: Mamma Mia, Viva Forever, We Will Rock You and Across the Universe to name a few!

Further Stages Autumn 19

To launch our new class for advanced, older students, we are introducing students to recent, groundbreaking musicals that have challenged the classical formula. Shows include Hamilton, In the Heights, Waitress and Dear Evan Hansen.

Disneyland 2019

In July 2019, we took students to Disneyland Paris, where they sang in front of the Disneyland castle and performed in the Main Street pre-parade! We will be going again in 2021, so drop us an email to join.

Childcare Vouchers

We accept Childcare Vouchers as payment! Childcare vouchers are an employee benefit for all eligible working parents. You can exchange childcare vouchers from your salary, tax-free and exempt from National Insurance contributions. Because of this, you can make savings of up to £933 per parent, per year.

100% LAMDA Success

Congratulations to our students who took LAMDA exams in March 2019! 100% pass rate and 93% with Merit or higher!

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Further Stages (for ages 15+ yrs)

Our advanced musical theatre sessions give talented students the chance to extend their performance skills.  Through in-depth training and master classes, we help students to hone their skills in singing, dancing and acting.  We also give students the confidence to audition for theatre and vocational drama schools (if that is their goal) and make sure they are well prepared for interviews and auditions.

Meet The Team

Principal - Shane Rising

Shane is a highly qualified and experienced teaching practitioner. With a Masters degree, a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) and Qualified Teaching Status, he has been providing the highest standards of Performing Arts education for a number of years.

Shane has worked in both Primary and SEND sectors, as well as Higher and Further Education. His involvement with the Stagecoach network has also enabled him to lead a team of teachers, successfully running a school in Maidstone.

As an Actor, Shane trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, going on to work in Theatre, Screen and Voice Over. His work on short film ‘The Wire’ won the Film Bounty award in 2014 and he was featured in Equity Magazine for his contribution to ‘The Tolpuddle Martyrs’ documentary in 2015. Shane continues to work in the industry and encourages similar opportunities for his students.

With his strong knowledge and practice, Shane is a passionate believer in creating confidence in children and young people. He looks forward to providing this at Stagecoach Bearsted and providing Creative Courage for Life.
