Stagecoach Theatre Arts School Ashford offer drama classes for children aged 4-18 years. We pride ourselves in offering classes in performing arts with a combination of  acting, singing and dance.
Our aim is to nurture and develop young potential through singing, acting and dance classes, stretching young potential and building confidence. Every week there is something fun and exciting happening as children learn with their professional teachers. Come along and join in the fun at our weekend classes!

London Shows and Events

This year 50 Students aged 6 to 19 years , performed at Her Majesty's Theatre in London, home to Phantom of the Opera Next Year we will be performing at The Royal Albert Hall and Shaftesbury Theatre.

West End Live

Further Stages and Stage Three students performed at the Shaftesbury Theatre . This was a return visit to one of the most beautiful West End Theatres in London. Performance Arts Awards

Students have the opportunity to be examined during our end of term shows, and to gain credits and an extra practical qualification up to advanced level , where credits convert into valuable UCAS points . These examinations have proved popular with students and parents. 98% gained Merits and Distinctions in 2016 and 2017.

Inspection

Stagecoach Ashford “Outstanding” The latest inspection report marked Ashford school “Outstanding”. The inspector said: "Students are given regular opportunities to influence their own learning- very evident in singing where students perform to a very high standard."

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Further Stages (for ages 15+ yrs)

Our advanced musical theatre sessions give talented students the chance to extend their performance skills.  Through in-depth training and master classes, we help students to hone their skills in singing, dancing and acting.  We also give students the confidence to audition for theatre and vocational drama schools (if that is their goal) and make sure they are well prepared for interviews and auditions.

Principal - Colleen Foster

Colleen is the longest serving franchisee in the Stagecoach network, joining Stagecoach in 1989 and has been responsible for providing over
8000 hours of performing arts training , over 72 end of term shows, exams and many exciting events during this time.
