Stagecoach Acton

A very big welcome to Stagecoach Performing Arts Acton, where we are passionate about performing arts stretching young imaginations and building life skills like communciation, confidence and creativity.

Along with an outstanding team of teachers, all professional performers, I run a fun and exciting school. I go above and beyond to exceed expectations so that Stagecoach Acton is an inspiring place to be.

The students at Stagecoach Acton are fun, friendly and welcoming of new students. They work as a team and are encouraging of each other. Whilst the majority of studence come because they want to learn, boost confidence and have fun with like-minded individuals, some come to the school because they have a strong talent they wish to nurture for a professional career in performance. Some of these students have already enjoyed success in professional theatre, television and film through the Stagecoach Agency and Sally's own contacts. Either way, it doesn't matter as we don't audition students and we cater for them all, so long as they have the enthusiam and desire to learn.

We offer Performing Arts Exams

Stagecoach Uniform

Stagecoach colours and uniform are compulsory. Stagecoach t-shirts and our dance shoes are a must. Along with black leggings or joggers. If children don’t have the correct dance shoes, it could cause injury so they will be asked to go barefoot.

Saying goodbye

We've had some goodbyes this term from teachers Rachel and Heidi, two best friends who live far away and needed somewhere closer to home to travel to on a Saturday. We welcome Samantha and Stephanie. Two vibrant performers who are superb team members. Welcome.

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

Meet The Team

Principal - Sally Catlin

A keen performer since her childhood, Sally performed in several musical stage productions and went on to study Drama at St Mary's University, where she gained her BA Hons Degree, majoring in Film and TV. She also did a year's psychology course as well as 3 years of Sociology.
Following a year out au pairing in Paris, she decided to explore other avenues and went on to work in the business side of media, initially at a top London advertising agency and later at some of the world's most renowned publishing and events houses.
In 1998, having taken a year out to travel and keen to change direction back to her roots in performing, the idea of buying her own Stagecoach school and developing it seemed perfect. She opened her first school in 2000 with her sister, whilst still working in Event Sales & Marketing and two years later opened more schools. They now run 9 Main Schools and 13 Early Stages and a Further Stages across Chiswick, Acton, Kensington and Hammersmith.
Sally's own children have attended Stagecoach since they were 3 years old and she is convinced this has helped their overall progress both in their academic work as well as performers. She is passionate about children's development and is supportive of all her students as well as their families.
A number of Sally's students have since become her own teachers at the other schools she runs, which is a real joy and testimony to how Stagecoach helped shape their lives.
