Welcome to Stagecoach Aberdeen West where we provide quality part-time training in the performing arts for children aged 6-18 years.

Our aim is to nurture and develop young potential through singing, acting and dance classes in Aberdeen, stretching young imaginations and building confidence. We are open every weekend during term time and workshops during the school holidays, come join the fun!

AUTUMN TERM

We are now heading into our Autumn Term and are currently working on our new presentation.... Matilda Melodies! The Early Stages Sharing Day is Saturday 7th December, and our Main School Presentations are on Saturday 14th December.

LEAVERS

If you know that you are leaving at the end of the Summer Term could I ask that you let us know half way through the term or before as we currently have a growing waiting list and that gives us time to make arrangements with the new students accordingly.

STAFF NEWS

We're sorry to say goodbye to our singing teacher Matthew Rose and dance coach Laura Ross. However, we're excited to welcome our new singing teacher Amy Hazel and dance coach Hayley Brown. They can't wait to start working with you!

Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

Meet The Team

Principal - Yvonne Wheeler - BA (RSAMD) : DIP ED (Glas)

Yvonne is a graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (formerly the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama), Glasgow University and Jordanhill College of Education and is, at present, a Principal teacher of drama in a secondary school.
 
She has run numerous drama workshops in Aberdeen and Glasgow and has extensive experience of working with young people in theatre/drama workshops and has devised and directed numerous youth theatre productions.
Yvonne is also a drama examiner for the Scottish Qualifications Agency.
