Stagecoach Keighley and Skipton

A warm welcome from Stagecoach Theatre Arts School Keighley and Skipton! We offer quality part-time training in the performing arts for children aged 4-18yrs, covering Dance, Drama and Singing. Our aspiration is that Stagecoach Keighley and Skipton is a friendly, inspirational environment where our students feel encouraged to reach their full potential. Alongside our weekly classes and holiday workshops, our students take part in full-scale shows.

Some of our previous shows include: Guys & Dolls, Annie, Beauty and the Beast, and The Wizard of Oz. Students are also given the opportunity to gain qualifications through LAMDA exams, and have a wide variety of professional casting opportunities for film and stage.

Childcare Vouchers!!

Stagecoach Keighley and Skipton are now registered with Ofsted, which means we can now accept Childcare Vouchers for all of our term time classes and holiday workshops. Please contact Laura on 0113 234 6098 if you wish to pay via this method.

LAMDA examinations

Did you know that Stagecoach Keighley and Skipton offers students the chance to take LAMDA exams? Students work with our professional coach to prepare their pieces and then perform in front of an examiner. These exams are a fantastic way to improve children's' confidence as well as expanding their skill set. Please contact us for more information.

Singing Exams

Mini Stages (for ages 2-4 yrs)

Mini Stages
Stagecoach Mini Stages (for 2 -4 year olds) 45 Minute Classes are a fun and exciting way for you and your child to actively experience the performing arts in a comfortable, relaxed and safe environment.

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Stagecoach Early Stages
Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Stagecoach Main Stages
Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

Meet The Team

Principal - Laura Holden - (EdD)

Laura has been a Principal at Stagecoach for over ten years! And previously she taught at a number of Stagecoach schools around West Yorkshire.
 
Laura trained and studied at the University of Leeds and gained a BA Honours Degree in Popular World Music. Her degree specialised in composition and recording studio work, which involved making a portfolio of her own compositions and recordings. After her degree, Laura continued with her studies at the University of Leeds, gaining a PGCE in further education, an MA in Education, and a Doctorate in Education. Her Doctorate research focussed on the importance of education in the Arts: (http://etheses.whiterose.ac.uk/19919/).
 
Laura loves working for Stagecoach and enjoys watching her students develop at their craft in a fun and friendly environment. We have a dedicated and experienced team of staff which really shines through in the quality of teaching at Stagecoach Keighley and Skipton.
