Casting day for Sister Act is fast approaching, and we want you to be as ready as you can be for selection!

What is Casting Day?

Casting Day (Tuesday 26th May) is a high-energy, professional-standard audition process in which our team will decide which role best suits you.

In this blog, I will give you a very brief overview of each character and what energy you should bring to the panel. I hope you have brought your sass and dancing shoes!

You could be playing…

Deloris Van Cartier: A loud, sassy but ultimately caring aspiring performer trying to find both fame and a place in the world

Mother Superior: An extremely protective head of the convent who likes to keep her sisters away from the outside

Sister Mary Robert: A quiet person who finds her voice through singing with Deloris

Sister Mary Lazarus: The head of the choir who is the least welcoming, however is changed by soul music

Monsignor O’Hara: A kind gentleman who remains optimistic even when his parish is at risk of closing

Curtis Jackson: A cocky controlling club owner and gangster who thinks he is untouchable

Eddie Souther: The desk chief at the Philadelphia police station, though nervous – he dreams of being confident and brave

Ensemble roles: From saintly sisters and hellish henchmen to dynamic dancers, the ensemble is vital to bringing Philadelphia to Woking!

Our Summer Showcase is designed to showcase your confidence as well as your singing, dancing and acting ability in a professional setting.
