Weekly Classes

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Stagecoach Early Stages
Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Stagecoach Main Stages
Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Further Stages (for ages 15+ yrs)

Stagecoach Further Stages
Our advanced musical theatre sessions give talented students the chance to extend their performance skills.  Through in-depth training and master classes, we help students to hone their skills in singing, dancing and acting.  We also give students the confidence to audition for theatre and vocational drama schools (if that is their goal) and make sure they are well prepared for interviews and auditions.

Fees in accordance with Main Stages.

Meet The Team

Principal - Claire Louise Rosser BA Hons Drama & Theatre, MA Musical Theatre

Claire has been at the helm of Stagecoach Wokingham for 10 years, and in this time the school has gone from strength to strength. She has bought her experience of 20 years teaching to Berkshire, to ensure they receive the best part-time training in the performing arts.

Claire trained at Royal Holloway, University of London and graduated with a degree in Theatre Studies. She then went on to train at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, and Moscow Art Theatre to study Musical Theatre and Acting, graduating with an MA. She has worked for the Stagecoach network for over 15 years, watching many children flourish into performers, adults and even our own teaching team! She has helped secure many children roles in West End and TV shows. She also understands the use of theatre and performance as a therapeutic tool and has worked alongside many fantastic theatre companies to bring theatre into lots of people's lives.

She has coached children into gaining roles for Matilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Sound Of Music (West End and national tour), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Shrek, Les Miserables, Oliver, Enron, various regional productions, full time vocational drama training and universities. But most rewarding, it is giving young people a safe place to be themselves each week.

Claire has been part of the faculty of Performance Preparation Academy in Guildford on the Acting & Musical Theatre degree programs. She is currently in her pre-clinical training to be a Psychotherapist for children, young people and families with the Tavistock & Portman NHS Trust in London. Claire oversees all the teaching, creative direction and ensuring excellent safeguarding measures are met.

"My main passion is to deliver adaptable teaching to suit the need of the student. This means our schools are inclusive, celebrating sameness and difference. Whether you require advanced technique training, or a place to find a sense of belonging, safety and community, there will be something for your child in our classes."
