Stagecoach Salford

Stagecoach Salford in Worsley provides children with the opportunity to participate in all three performing arts disciplines. Our drama, dance and singing classes help to develop confidence, physical awareness, communication and articulation whilst having fun and making new friends. At Stagecoach Salford we pride ourselves on our highly skilled and dedicated team of teachers with a wealth of experience, led by Principal Laura, whose passion for the performing arts is shared by teachers and students alike. Many students who train with us for several years go on to pursue professional careers in musical theatre or the arts. Others simply benefit from the confidence gained and positive relationships formed during their time with us. Whatever your reason for coming to Stagecoach, we aim to prepare each child for success with creative courage for life!

Meet The Team

Principal - Laura Walker

Laura began her training at Stagecoach Didsbury and then Salford in 1999. She was one of their very first students and stayed at the school for 5 years. She went on to study musical theatre and gained a triple distinction from Pendleton College in Salford. In 2008, she received a diploma in professional production skills from the Guildford School of Acting, and then in 2012, Laura graduated from Liverpool John Moores University with a degree in media professional studies with television production.
In between her study years she travelled to the USA where she worked as a camp counsellor, teaching drama, running a singing club and directing the musicals at a full season summer camp in Vermont. She worked at the same camp for four summers. She enjoyed her time in the States so much that she decided to live and work as an au pair near San Francisco, California, for two years. Alongside her Stagecoach duties, Laura is a licensed chaperone for children in theatre, TV and film.  She is delighted to be back where it all started as the Principal at Stagecoach Salford and looks forward to seeing each and every child grow as they discover what Stagecoach means to them.
