Stagecoach Haverfordwest believes in promoting confidence in a fun, friendly and supportive environment. Taking classes in singing, dance and drama has been proven to build a child's self-esteem. We are proud to offer a full and rounded education, teaching life skills to build confidence and stretch imaginations through singing, acting and dance classes; allowing each child to develop at their own pace with the support of the group. Students across Pembrokeshire attend our classes weekly and we are delighted to offer our students a high standard of teaching as well as excellent opportunities. Each year all our students have the opportunity to be part of a full musical production at the local theatre. We've had the privilege of watching hundreds of children grow in confidence and ability. As part of the UK's largest network of performing arts schools, Stagecoach Haverfordwest is more than just a theatre school, we are a nurturing, safe place for children to grow and build on all aspects of life skills.

Open Day
Come and See what all the song and dance is about at our FREE Stagecoach Open day. On the Thursday 9th & Friday 10th July we are opening our doors to allow students aged 4 – 18 years old who wish to discover the magic of Stagecoach to join in for the day. Students aged 4 – 6 are invited to join in our all singing all dancing teddy bear’s picnic, details below. While students aged 6 – 18 years old will explore a range of musicals from Mamma Mia, Lion king, Les Miserables which current students will perform in a performance of ‘A Night At The Musical’s at the Lyric Theatre. All students enrolled for the Autumn term will be part of the performance. Choose from Thursday or Friday 4.30- 7.30pm and reserve your place by contacting us below.

Teddy Bear’s Picnic
You are invited to the Stagecoach Teddy Bear’s Picnic 9th & 10th July 2015. Children aged 4 – 6 years old are invited to join us for one of our Teddy Bear’s picnics being held in our schools this Summer. Children can enjoy a series of singing, dance and acting workshops based on the theme a teddy bears picnic. Face painting and party games will also ensure it is a fun packed session. Not to be missed. Our picnics will be held as follows –

Thursday: 4.00pm – 5.30pm or 5.45pm - 7.15pm at Sir Thomas Picton School
Friday: 4.00pm – 5.30pm at Tasker Milward School

Bring a long a much loved teddy bear, a picnic rug and some delicious picnic food, and don’t forget to bring your friends too. We are hoping that every Teddy Bear that ever there was, will gather here for certain, because they’re going to have a wonderful time.

Early Stages – Autumn 2015
Registers are now open for the Autumn Term at Stagecoach Haverfordwest. Our Early stages ( 4- 6 Year olds) will be not only perfecting their singing , dancing and acting skills but they will be having great fun preparing for our end of term, Christmas themed performance of.. The Elves and The Shoemaker. Our students will perform to family and friends at the end of term. Places for the Autumn term are now limited.

Main Stages – Autumn 2015
Students aged 6 – 18 year old registered for the Autumn term at our main school are in for a real treat. This Autumn term students will be exploring a range of musicals from Mamma Mia, Lion King, Les Miserables, Sweeney Todd, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Annie, Oliver just to list a few.  Students will perform extracts from the best of the musicals in ‘A Night at the Musicals’ at The Lyric Theatre, Carmarthen. All friends and family will be invited to join us for a celebration of the talent of our wonderful students at this wonderful evening of performances.. A fun and exciting term to join Stagecoach.

Stagecoach Acting, Singing and Dance Classes & Times

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

A full term’s fees for Early Stages is £162 (Scottish fees may vary).

A two week trial for Early Stages costs £25.

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

A full term’s fees for Main Stages is £324 (Scottish fees may vary).

A two week trial for Main Stages costs £50.

Our performing arts school is situated in Haverfordwest, is a thriving hub of activity every Thursday and Friday evenings. From the youngest student at 3 years old all the way up to our 18 years olds, every student leaves with a smile on their face. We treat every student as an individual and due to small class sizes, we are able to focus independently on each child’s needs. Run by an experienced Principal Liane has been a Principal for over 7 years and was the very first Stagecoach student to become a Principal. Liane Is also the Principal of Stagecoach Carmarthen. Stagecoach Haverfordwest are committed to offering a unique experience for every child. As the schools is situated in West Wales we understand the importance of the Welsh language and we are proud to offer a bilingual environment and bilingual support from our Principal to all students and our parents.

We strive to offer high quality training in all disciplines of singing, dance and drama. Our dance teacher, is a fully qualified dance teacher and is able to offer classes varying in style and technique; Jazz, Contemporary, Modern, Musical Theatre, Street and even Ballet. We vary the styles each term and we allow the students to create their own choreography. In drama, the students learn through devised work alongside scripted and directed pieces. They explore character work, physicality, speech and accent work and much, much more; all this again to build on confidence and focus. In singing, focus is given to building the child’s confidence to create sound and sing within the group and independently. As this confidence builds, students work towards harmonies and solos. They explore all genres of Musical Theatre and pop and rocks songs. There is also focus on students creating their own work and creating music as a group. Students have the opportunity to sit PAA group musical theatre examinations once a year and solo acting and musical theatre LAMDA lessons and LCM Singing examinations. From Summer 2015 we wll also e offering singing, drama and movement classes for 2 - 4 year olds. Mini stages is a wonderful way for mum and chid to explore performing arts together.

Students at Stagecoach Haverfordwest have plenty of exciting opportunity throughout the term. Performing twice yearly to parents, friends and family. Students also have the opportunity to take LAMDA exams in Acting, Verse and Prose and Musical Theatre. We have had 100% pass rate with most of the results being Merit and Distinction. Students regularly take part in London events performing in the West End theatres with Stagecoach schools from across the country such as Her Majesty’s Theatre. They also performed CATS at the National Indoor Arena, Birmingham, and regularly perform in regional theatres such as The Grand Theatre, Swansea, St David’s Hall, Cardiff . Students perform in one full musical at The Lyric Theatre, Carmarthen every Spring, previous performances include Billy Elliot, Oliver, Annie, Hairspray, Wizard of Oz and High School Musical. We regularly visit musicals and plays. Stagecoach Haverfordwest students also will be performing at Disneyland Paris in 2015 and will be working on Horrible Histories the Musical, which is exclusively written and available for Stagecoach.

Stagecoach Haverfordwest  runs from two different school sites. Our Thursday evening class runs from Sir Thomas Picton school, which is situated just of the main Morrisons roundabout. The Stagecoach classes run from the school gym area but there are always yellow flags outside our entrance so we can be easily found. There is a plenty of paring outside and around the gym area. Our Friday evening class runs from Tasker Milward School, , Stagecoach runs from the lower part of the school and classes run in the hall directly as you walk through the double doors.
