Stagecoach Acting, Singing and Dance Classes & Times

Early Stages (for ages 4-6 yrs)

Early Stages classes run alongside the main Stagecoach schools, where young people learn skills in each of the three Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama, so it is an easy step when it is time to transfer to the next stage.

(90 minutes each week)

Main Stages (for ages 6-18 yrs)

Main Stages classes are split in three age appropriate groups, where young people learn new skills in each of the complementary Musical Theatre disciplines of singing, dancing & drama. We nurture the shy and apprehensive, until they find their feet and voice, whilst at the same time developing and channelling those with bundles of talent, confidence and energy. We believe in the potential of every child!

(3 hrs each week)

Since 2011 Stagecoach Chertsey performing arts school has received 7 OUTSTANDING accolades in independent inspections conducted by Harding Associates. Comments include: -

"A very creative and inspirational ethos. At Stagecoach Chertsey all disciplines are taught to a very high standard. The school is very well organised and students thrive in this positive environment. In this vibrant and happy school students are very well known and cared for as individuals."

Thanks to a dedicated and experienced team of teachers, all of whom have worked professionally in the industry, our weekend classes are varied, creative and fun!

Exciting varied dance choreography including Street Dance, Hip-Hop, Musical Theatre and Jazz.
Creative drama to develop acting skills in Improvisation, Character Building, Story Telling and Vocal Projection.
Singing lessons to improve Technique, Vocal Range and Clarity using varied singing styles for Musical Theatre, Pop, Rap, Opera, Folk.

No audition is necessary – just enthusiasm! Stagecoach students perform at least twice a year. The first takes the form of a 'Demonstration' of course work. The second is our annual showcase where Main Stages students perform in a local Theatre and Early Stages perform on the Main Hall Stage. Every Stagecoach student is also eligible to join The Stagecoach Agency and many Chertsey students have been fortunate to work professionally in TV, films, and on stage. Our students have performed at Her Majesty’s Theatre in the West End and our summer holiday X-Tra Factor and Glee-Full workshops have proved extremely popular. Once a year we provide a ‘complimentary’ workshop for Main Stages led by an industry professional including Film Acting, Stage Combat, Puppetry, Dance (led by Tim Noble, Choreographer to Kylie Minogue) and Musical Theatre (led by Craig and Tim, the ‘leads’ in the Blood Brothers West End Production).
