Stagecoach Burton-Upon-Trent

In our fun, engaging and energetic weekly classes, children are given both structure and freedom as they learn how to sing, dance and act. We teach students a variety of styles and routines enabling them to explore their imagination, express themselves and encourage their creativity.

While mastering their performance skills, our students also develop a range of qualities such as confidence, improved communication skills, resilience and courage. All of this prepares students for performances at the end of term in front of family and friends.

Each class is small to allow our teachers and their assistants to give each child support and attention and we can feedback progression to parents.

Meet The Team

Principal - Laura Spencer

Having trained professionally at the London College of Music and Trinity College London, Laura has taught singing at Stagecoach Ashby de la Zouch since 2009 before becoming principal in 2016. In addition to this, her involvements have included numerous recording sessions and she has performed at prestigious venues all over the UK, such as the Albert Hall, the Theatre Royal Nottingham & Broadway Theatre.
Laura's vision for stagecoach is to create a safe and secure environment where children can explore their creativity, grow in confidence and strive to achieve their very best. Ultimately, every child needs to leave each week with a smile on their face and have obtained new skills and techniques through the multitude of teaching styles on offer. In line with this, Laura aims to create an environment where the teaching staff can be at their very best and continue to love what they do whilst tailoring their own style of teaching to meet the individual needs of every child.
Laura and the team welcome you to join Stagecoach Ashby de la Zouch as your child embarks on the first steps of their journey towards Creative Courage For Life!
