Meet our Teachers

Principal - Helene & Rob Reynolds - BA Ed (Hons) QTS

Helene & Rob became Stagecoach Principals in March 2008.
Helene studied for four years at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Cardiff. She graduated with B.A. Ed (Hons) Drama, and Education with Qualified Teacher Status. Since that time she has gained many years experience as a specialist drama & theatre arts teacher and director, teaching in the UK and at a renowned international college in Singapore. During this period she held a number of positions of responsibility including Head of Lower & Middle School Drama, Head of Drama Curriculum, Co-ordinator of Drama Resources & Information and Arts Festival Producer. As a theatre-maker she has directed a vast number of full-scale productions, including the great drama of Chekhov and Shakespeare to more contemporary plays. As a choreographer she has co-ordinated arts festival dance shows, cultural dance events and musical theatre.
Helene is an Associate member of LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art) and is experienced in preparing students for LAMDA examinations.
Rob started his performing career as a professional drummer/singer/song-writer. He began performing in Musical Theatre and has played lead roles in over 60 productions and sang professionally as a soloist. His experience took him into directing, which he did professionally both in the UK and Singapore. Rob spent nearly 8 years as the Theatre Manager & Primary School Drama Advisor in an international college in Singapore. His many responsibilities there included directing, producing and lighting design, as well as teaching and running workshops in stage management/lighting.
In July 2007, Rob, his wife Helene and their twin daughters moved from Singapore to Australia with the intention of opening a Stagecoach school there. However, when the opportunity arose to take over Stagecoach Bridgend and Cowbridge, they rapidly accepted the offer and now enjoy the excitement and challenge of running five hugely successful Stagecoach schools 'back home' in Wales.
