Stagecoach Barnstaple Celebrate as they Perform at Barnstaple's Christmas Lights Switch On Event!
Earlier this year we were invited to take part in the Christmas Lights Switch on which took place on the Square, Barnstaple on Sunday 22nd November and what a brilliant day it was! 67 of our students ranging from 6-18 years took to the main stage on the square to entertain the crowds with their favorite festive songs. We had groups, soloists, duets and of course whole school songs to perform adding variety and a little Stagecoach magic to a great event! Our brave singers received fabulous applause from the crowd and local Christmas shoppers, we did such a good job that the organisers have even booked us in for next year already!

Our choir will be singing again for the late night shoppers of Barnstaple on Thursday 10th and 17th December in the High Street and again in Green Lanes Shopping Centre. If you fancy a bit of last minute shopping come down and show your support for our lovely singers and spread some Christmas cheer!

End of Year Showcase goes down a Storm!!
What a fantastic year it has been and a fantastic show to finish it all off. All of the students have worked incredibly hard throughout the summer term and on July 11th all of their friends and family came to watch as they took to the stage. The show 'Dick Whittington', along with a few friends that he meets along the way gave the students the opportunity to really get into character. With a little added costume and makeup they really did stand out under the lights with some great talents shining through!

We now look forward to our Summer Workshop on the 18th, 19th and 20th August where I am sure we will see some new faces too! Our next term begins on Saturday 19th September - give us a call now to come and join us for another fun filled term in the Autumn.

Amazing Results for LAMDA Solo Acting Exams
11 of our students at Stagecoach Theatre Arts School Barnstaple aged from 7-16 years, opted to take their LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts) Solo Acting Exams in the Spring of this year. After weeks of hard work and one to one tuition with LAMDA Tutor Mark Wakeman they all headed down to Plymouth to the examination. After a nail biting few weeks we got the results ... 100% PASSED!! All 11 students achieved a Merit or above with nearly half passing at Distinction level!

Principal Kate Ridley-Holloway and LAMDA tutor Mark Wakeman are both incredibly pleased with the results and added, "We could not be prouder of what the students have achieved. They all showed such commitment to the course with each.
